Tenacity Wrestling - Show 13: The Enchanted Evening September 24th, 2024
SEGMENT: ‘PRE-MATCH FACE-OFFS’
INT: THE VENUE - BACKSTAGE VICTORIA SALINAS stepped out into the hall carrying the Tenacity Grand Championship over her shoulder. The Champion got a couple of nods, some calls of respect by crew but as she passed the former challenger DANIELLE PAGE she rolled her eyes and sighed.
DANIELLE PAGE: There she is. Grand Championess. Ready to defend the title yet again, sadly not against me but don’t worry about that. I will be back in just three matches. Marina, Loser #2, Loser #3 then it’s you and I again - isn’t that exciting?
BEAT.
DANIELLE PAGE: You’re right, it’s half exciting - because I’m back in the title picture.
VICTORIA SALINAS: You’re done? Good. I’m only going to say this once. I truly, truly hope you never, ever step foot in the ring with me ever again. You had some crooked simp official and you still lost. Don’t bother me, and do your best to make sure if you see me coming down the halls - don’t cross paths with me.
CUT TO: VICTORIA SALINAS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Yeah I’m still annoyed by her and what she did last show. Still, she’s in my rear view mirror right now. I need to focus on what’s ahead. Rayven Hardy, then Kidd Dudley, Derrick La’Bell, Ugh Matt Stone again and UGHHH Kendrick Kross again…
Salinas looked over at the Grand Title.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Lot of people want you.
CUT TO: INT THE VENUE- CATERING DANE MITCHELL can be seen dressed to compete with CLEMENTINE SMITH with a big stack of sandwiches on either side of her all prepared for the hungry staff and talent.
DANE MITCHELL Sandwich Night isn’t my first choice, Clemmy but after the last show I didn’t have time to meet with the suppliers to make anything tonight. I’m sure it’ll be fine.
CLEMENTINE SMITH: I hope so. I think I gave myself butterer’s elbow with all the buttering I did to get these ready.
DARCY GRAVES Guys. Do either of you two know if our General Manager is okay with walk ins? It’s just after I win tonight I really think my future should be discussed. I’ll have defeated a former challenger for this company’s championship.
CLEMENTINE SMITH: Dane. Maybe you should do that too?
DARCY GRAVES: Excuse me? Sandwich Wench? No. If her time is valuable let’s prioritize valuable assets. All Dane will have accomplished is defeating some runner up in the tournament.
DANE MITCHELL: Remind me again, where did you place in that tournament?
Danielle made him twirl her, and then raised her own hand up.
DARCY GRAVES: I think you didn’t hear me before. I will have defeated a former contender. Okay? I’ll just take my chances and see her after. I’ll leave you two to clean up your crumbs.

'MATCH #1' 'DEBUT APPETIZER’ DARCY GRAVES Vs JESSICA CARTER
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
Darcy Graves requested a pre-match interview with Tenacity’s dual wrestler and interviewer. Jess obliged but made sure the questions were about Jess winning and being back in the title picture. Graves didn’t like the pop she got after each question and the boos she received. On question three, Jess didn’t get halfway through it when Graves tackled her to the mat and fired with punches. Jess got out the ring, before returning for the bell.
The pair locked up with punches but Graves threw Carter into the corner. Graves hit a couple of back elbows but then Carter would grab Darcy and drive her face first into the turnbuckle. Graves took two suplexes from Jess before Jess hit a running neckbreaker. Carter followed Darcy to the apron where she performed a second neckbreaker - this one through the ropes and tried to win off the move. Graves kicked out of the pin but Jessica had her straight back in one with a hurrcanrana. This time Graves sat up to pin Jess, lost her as Jess rolled back and hit a Bad Kitty-esque shining wizard. Carter thought she could win it right here by climbing the top rope and Graves earned some heavy boos by exiting the ring. Jess just adjusted and connected with her flying crossbody - earning her a big crowd pop. She got the newcomer back in the ring but as she wiped her feet before getting back in Darcy struck! Big Step Up knee! Jess was kept on the apron by Darcy grabbing the hair, dragging Jess into the ring and swinging neckbreaker put Jess down for two.
CUT TO: AVERY SMITH TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
AVERY SMITH: I mean no respect for the ring there. Luckily I wasn’t ringside or I may have cost Jess the match there.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Jessica stood back up before getting clotheslined down. Darcy performed a hairpull backbreaker before she knocked Jess to the ropes with a flurry of euro uppercuts. Jess’ arms got locked in the ropes while Garcy continued to abuse the 5 seconds with further uppercuts until Boscoe forced her back. Jess fought back, boots to Darcy’s legs but was quickly stopped by a front boot. Darcy freed Jess and whipped her across the ring. Darcy sprung off the ropes and Jessica caught her with an atomic drop! Hurricanrana by Jess to give her some space for a running penalty kick to the jaw. Darcy rolled over and found herself resting on the bottom turnbuckle. Jess came running in with a big hip attack, before she looked to hit Veneno! EYE RAKE! Darcy fell to her back as Jess violently ripped herself away with both hands covering her eye up.
Graves got a warning but she would hit Jess with a running forearm to her in the corner. Inverted suplex by Graves to Jess whom sat up on her knees. Darcy followed up with the facebuster, scoring another pin on Jess but Carter managed to kick out. Graves quickly flipped Jess over and hooked both arms. She flipped bridging, driving her head firmly into Jess’ back while pulling the arms back. The submission hold didn't get Jess to tap out because she got a foot on the rope. The move did make Jess’ comeback weaker than fans are used to. Clotheslines hurt Jess somewhat, the dropkick saw Jess landing on her arms. The spinning neck breaker saw Jess in a pinning predicament again, this time making the pin but Darcy kicked out despite Jess hooking both legs under her arms and sitting on the shoulders.
CUT TO: FAIZAH MARSHALL TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
FAIZAH MARSHALL: “Is Darcy going to be a difficult opponent?’ Not for me, not for the B.A.E. Let me save you another question - Scotty Latimer isn’t either. Check back with me later tonight and see.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) We see Darcy getting dragged into position for Jess’ finishing maneuver. As Carter got outside to climb, Graves kipped up back to life and sent Carter flying to the barricade outside. Graves quickly got outside and added to the damage with a snap back suplex to Jessica. She got Carter up and into the ring before she would leap off with her Grave Digger move - and hit nothing but mat!
Jess rolled out the way and caught two breaths on the bottom rope. She pulled herself up to her feet and looked to drop Darcy with a hurricanrana! Darcy handstands onto her feet. Jess got back up from her knees - Waking the Dead knee shot to Jess to set up One Way Trip. The impact is thunderous and Graves dove on Jess urgently to secure the one, the two, but more importantly that elusive three count to call time on this match.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
Wearing a baggy blue shirt, a long brown hair wig tied into a ponytail and a pair of red shorts - Matt Stone remarked.
DANE MITCHELL Kinda, sorta, definitely hoped she’d get humbled by Jess tonight. At least I know where she’s going next.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING
In the ring, Aubrey Williams took to the mic to announce the winner.
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen your winner of this match - Darcy Graves
Darcy took a very big bow to the audience, before drawing some heat by helping Jess up only to toss her through the ropes. Darcy happily celebrated then in the ring to a loud front row booing her.
CUT TO: JESSICA CARTER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
JESSICA CARTER: I guess she didn’t want a post-match interview. That’s fine. That’s fine - I didn’t want to interview her anyway.
(Scene End) Winner: Darcy Graves via Pinfall - One Way Trip (Vertical Suplex Side Slam) Match Time: 11:18
SEGMENT: ‘THE NEW HIRE’
INT: THE VENUE - BACKSTAGE GENERAL MANAGER CARMEN ROJA-TORRES is currently finishing up a discussion with challenger RAYVEN HARDY.
RAYVEN HARDY: So I will have to defend the title against Kidd Dudley next show, fine. That’s fair. Victoria’s been defending the title back to back to back lately. I just thought a championship celebration one show before we get to work might be nice - but I need to follow the example she’s set for the Grand Title.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: That’s right. Kidd Dudley, Derrick La’Bell, and then Matt Stone will be on the title schedule.
RAYVEN HARDY: (Under Her Breath/Annoyed) Stone.
Rayven’s comment drowned out the assistant at Carmen’s door telling her he’s here.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: Excellent. Our first Commentator has arrived. Send him in.
Dressed in a suit, with very short cut hair, a groomed beard with big, built shoulders entered the man the assistant opened the door for. Rayven glanced his way, then shared a look with Carmen before turning back.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: Okay you’re certainly more ‘built’ for a former wrestler than I was expecting, Mr. Claudel
RAYVEN HARDY: Nice to meet you. Rayven Hardy - or as you’ll be referring to me on commentary - Grand Champion.
MAN: I think there’s some mistake here. I’m not Claudel or Castagnoli, and I won’t be referring to you on commentary.
He then turned back to address Carmen directly.
MAN: Sabrina left you a message. I’m Rome Gallagher. Here to run through your roster and make my way to the Grand Championship.
RAYVEN HARDY: I thought you looked like you fought.
ROME GALLAGHER: Yeah I do. Good luck, btw, on your title fight. I’ll be watching. And Carmen, who’ve you got me facing in my debut?
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: I have you tentatively booked against Danielle Page.
ROME GALLAGHER: Great. Thanks.
She took a moment, halfway through her speech to close her eyes and imagine the title upon her shoulder, a smile showing.
RAYVEN HARDY: Well thanks for adding another to the roster. Hopefully I’ll be too busy defending the title to deal with him for a while.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: He’s gone, Rayven
Her eyes opened just as the door closed.
RAYVEN HARDY: Rude, much. No, I have too much on my mind to focus on a newcomer.
(Scene End)
'MATCH #2' 'PRINCESS VS PRINCESA’ DANIELLE PAGE Vs MARINA MARSTON
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
Marina and Danielle both have quick bolts of energy in the beginning of this one. Danielle trying to pin Marina to get back to the title picture and Marina trying to qualify for the first time. Page has the advantage with a little more experience but Marina’s no novice. She capitalizes off some space from an irish whip into a springboard dropkick that sent Danielle into the corner. High knee almost caused some dental damage for Danielle, and a bridging fisherman’s suplex almost scored her the win. Marina popped the crowd by delivering a crucifix roll up after a strong irish whip. Danielle was clearly missing Orville as the official because Boscoe did not give her any advantages, letting Marina get in some further offense.
Danielle would find an opening by dropkicking Marina in the knee, causing her to face plant in the middle turnbuckle. A frustrated Danielle made Marina eat that turnbuckle for a full four count before she backed off and laughed at Marina’s nose bleed. Marina charged towards Danielle. By the time she got her in the corner, Danielle had issued a no refund or returns knee lift and a back suplex into the top turnbuckle allowed Danielle Page to set up her Beauty Rest submission hold. Marina shook and slumped in the cobra clutch but was able to sitout and jawbreaker her way out.
Danielle got dropped by Marina performing a spinning wheel kick and Marston would follow up with a standing moonsault. Danielle’s shoulders were down for two but she got the right one up to keep this one going.
CUT TO: JESSICA CARTER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
JESSICA CARTER: She probably should’ve hit that off the top rope and she’d be a challenger right now
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Danielle got tossed over with Marina’s running hurricanrana. She followed up with a springboard version and the fans chanted “One More Time”. Marina gave the people what they wanted except Danielle countered it with a Chick Kick, before standing over Marina slapping the young wrestler for making foolish mistakes. She would tell the audience that she, Danielle, deserved both of Marina’s banked wins before trying to win the ‘final’ off a pop-up powerbomb with Marina stacked up - and yet she was able to power out. Because of that kick out, Danielle would jump up high as she could and double foot stomp Marina’s back. Marston let out a scream and immediately rolled out the ring. Boscoe went out to check and Marina was clearly in pain but she refused to call offf the match. A consequence of that decision was Danielle dropped her back first on the most unforgiving part of the ring and then back first into the steps.
Wanting a count out win, Danielle walked around the ring mocking Marina who triggered Danielle by rolling in at a count of eight. Marina took several stomps and a hard irish whip. Danielle attempted to end the match off her Tilt-A-Whirl backbreaker but Marina still had fight in her. Double M booted Page away and the Diamond Princess went for a Chick Kick - CAUGHT by Marina. Danielle got spun into an inverted backbreaker then an inverted DDT. She reached for the leg but Danielle still got the arm up. Marston had to use the ropes to get up, only for Danielle to hit a fallaway slam to regain control.
CUT TO: DANIELLE PAGE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
DANIELLE PAGE: That’s how I do, Little Girl. Capital L
Danielle added an L gesture to her forehead.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Danielle tried to go for a lungblower but Marina held the ropes - yet Danielle did not let go. She wrapped her legs around Marina and side clubbed her until Marina let go. Both women hit the mat with Danielle positioning Marina facedown and repeatedly drove alternating elbows into the upper back. Marston had a foot on the rope so Referee Boscoe Clark forced Danielle off at a count of four. Danielle argued with the official who reminded her she could have been disqualified while she argued Marina’s foot was nowhere near the rope. It gave Marina a breather and let her get back up. Page saw her still and a straight kick put Marina in the corner. Danielle uppercutted Marina and muscled her onto the top rope. Marston booted Danielle in the face hard to knock her down. Marston quickly perched on the top rope - Diving DDT to Danielle scrambled the Diamond Princess!
Marina made the noise most 30 year old’s make when getting up thanks to the back due to no ropes to assist her - STILL! Marina ran the ropes to hit Jawbreaker! Running Bicycle Kick tripled the number of birds Danielle could see circling her head. Leaving the Diamond Princess down and out as Marina picked up the one, two and three.
CUT TO: KIDD DUDLEY TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
KIDD DUDLEY I knew she’d do it. Welcome to the challenger’s circle, Marina.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING
In the ring, Aubrey Williams took to the mic to announce the winner.
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen your winner of this match - and with three wins an official challenger to the Grand Championship - Marina Marston!
Marina got up with assistance from the official who raised her hand while she held her back.
CUT TO: VICTORIA SALINAS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Another one. Well, we’ll see what she can do once I get past Rayven Hardy.
(Scene End) Winner: Marina Marston via Pinfall - Jawbreaker (Running Bicycle Knee) Match Time: 12:34
SEGMENT: ‘LOOK OUT FOR ME’
INT: THE VENUE - BACKSTAGE TENACITY GRAND CHAMPION VICTORIA SALINAS is seen backstage enjoying a quick sip of her choice of hot drink and waving bye to whomever she was on a video call with when she hears a knock at the door.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Come in. I guess.
The door opened off-camera but Victoria stood up straight to her guest.
LOGAN TRAEGER: Champ. Nice to see you in person.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Logan. Say your piece. I’ve got a match to get ready for, challengers stacking up, so let’s make it quick.
LOGAN TRAEGER: All I came to say is two things. One, don’t lose tonight. I’m going to be challenging one day and I’d rather someone who doesn’t call themselves a miracle.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Done. And the other?
LOGAN TRAEGER: And two - Keep your eyes open for what I can do in the ring. Look out for me, Champ.
With that Logan makes his way out and Victoria gets right back to her pre-match workout. The camera panning across to see she’s got her opponent’s matches playing in a playlist.
VICTORIA SALINAS: She’s going to need a miracle.

'MATCH #3' 'TRAEGER-NOMETRY’ DANE MITCHELL Vs LOGAN TRAEGER
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
Logan and Dane exchange a very quick handshake before locking up. The heavier Traeger backed Mitchell up into the corner to a break. This was what we saw again, and again until Traeger added a gut punch on the lock up, and sent Dane into the ropes. Dane came off the ropes with a forearm and Traeger backed up into the ropes, rebounding to clothesline Mitchell. Traeger started to land a full nelson suplex but Dane kicked off the ropes to stick the landing. Slid under Logan’s clothesline, back to his feet with a rising knee and Dane Mitchell landed a running sling blade and tried to win off a springboard senton but Logan countered into a pin of his own - with Dane kicking out.
Logan fought Dane off with punches to the gut and then threw him into the corner. Dane hit a back elbow and then sent Logan into the corner. Two shoulders driven into Logan’s back then a dropkick and a school boy roll up but Logan again is able to kick out. Logan took a quick breather outside only for Dane to target him like a heat seeking missile! Suicide Dive! CAUGHT by Traeger who performed a side slam on the ring apron.
CUT TO: DANE MITCHELL TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
DANE MITCHELL: Throw caution to the wind, but yeah
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Logan returned Dane back to the ring, didn’t get the quick pin, and tried to set up a back suplex. Dane landed on his feet but caught a back elbow - richocheted off the ropes - and straight into a sidewalk slam - NO, Dane rolles back inverted DDT! Mitchell got a springboard spin kick in but Logan stayed on his feet. Mitchell splashed Logan in the corner for a roll up but Logan launched Dane into the corner to kick out. Mitchell caught a corner clothesline and Logan performed an uranage before going up to the second rope. He pinpointed his landing and came crashing down with a knee drop on Dane. One. Two but Dane kicked out!
Mitchell managed to kick out of Logan’s German suplex but caught a running boot. He fell through the ropes, caught the top with his legs and the momentum brought him back into the ring, colliding with a clothesline back to Traeger. Another dropped Logan, and the dropkick got caught! Traeger caught him let him land on his thighs while Traeger got the front face lock in and started a stalling brainbuster of sorts. The audience got to 10 but Logan made ‘em count to 20. At 17 Dane landed on his feet and connected with a neckbreaker, both men on the mat.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - LIVE FROM THE MATT PAD.
Matt Stone drank down his drink, saying nothing, but holding a pennant flag which ready Traeger.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Dane got to his feet just before Logan, landing a step-up enziguri to put Logan on the ropes. Running body guillotine to Logan on the ropes let Dane head to the high risk district. He flew off Logan for a swanton to knock Logan over…Logan back rolls with Dane into Revelation!
Logan quickly hooked the leg as the official Roscoe Clark counted the one, two, three.
CUT TO: VICTORIA SALINAS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Hmm. Well done, Logan.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING
In the ring, Aubrey Williams took to the mic to announce the winner.
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen your winner of this match - Logan Traeger!!
Logan stood up to take a victory lap of the ring raising his fist up to each side.
CUT TO: DARCY GRAVES TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
DARCY GRAVES: Anyone can beat Dane Mitchell. Book me against him and watch me..
(Scene End) Winner: Logan Traeger via Pinfall - Revelation (Cradle Belly to Back Inverted Mat Slam) Match Time: 12:34
SEGMENT: ‘GETTING COMFORTABLE’
EXT: MATT’S BACHELOR PAD - CANADA Matt Stone begins pouring out his M&Ms into a bowl in his living room area with some other little treats. Behind him is the empty trophy case for the Grand Title.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM. Matt took a seat, wearing some smart, September suitable clothing.
MATT STONE: So I’ve been put under house arrest basically. If I can’t be there in person - I’ll have to watch the show from here. Big screen TV like NPH had in HIMYM. An on call fleet of chefs to provide me with all my home comfort food at just a push of a couple of buttons. I’m ready for the Enchanted Evening and I hope Tenacity Wrestling has purchased every fan ear plugs. When Hardy fumbles, she’s gonna deafen everyone with her whine. I’m here in Canada but even I have a pair just in case.
As Matt showed the ear plugs to the camera crew and put them in for effect.
(Scene End)
'MATCH #4' 'GENEWRESTLING’ FAIZAH MARSHALL Vs SCOTTY LATIMER
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
Faizah Marshall was accompanied by Aliyah who scouted Scotty attempting a rush attack during her entrance. Pays to have eyes in the back of your head for you. Once the match officially got started, Scotty struck with the power advantage, throwing Marshall over with hip toss, straight pushes and somewhat deadlift suplexes. Faizah was able to get back into it when she lured Scotty into the corner and connected with a knee press to counter, followed by a leaping sunset flip powerbomb, scoring an early two. Latimer stayed on the defense as Marshall tried putting him away with some other moves in her arsenal. When tried to perform a trademark Best Splash Ever, Scotty scaled the corner and performed a big time belly to belly.
Marshall seemed unable to get the wind back in her lungs, and the former contender told Marshall some harsh truths. A couple of slaps got some boos from the crowd before Scotty performed a pop up snake eyes to Faiz on the top turnbuckle. Scotty added some further choking with his foot, earning a warning from Referee Boscoe.
CUT TO: SCOTTY LATIMER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
SCOTTY LATIMER: What? That’s legal in my book.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Latimer pulled Faizah out of the ring and looked like he wanted to powerbomb her. Faizah fought back with a flurry of punches to land a senton. She then used Aliyah to perform a step up moonsault onto Latimer. Faizah quickly shoved Latimer back into the ring and looked for BAE Alert here. Lands on her feet and hits a standing moonsault again. Two standing moonsaults - ended in just a two count, and Faizah tried to go for a springboard double foot stomp on Latimer. Scotty caught her with a kneeling spinebuster and then dragged her up for a single arm DDT. Just like Faiz, Scotty only scored a two count but he decided to end it. Scouting Latimer for the Rogue Lariat, it was Aliyah who managed to get through to Faizah and get her to roll out of the ring.
Scotty demanded that Aliyah be ejected but she argued back she’s not touched Scotty. Faizah slid back in and missed Scotty on the running clothesline, catching her with a spinning powerslam, before he backed up, flipped off Aliyah, and drove his knee into Faizah. Now he was ready for the rogue lariat.
CUT TO: MILLIE SMITH TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MILLIE SMITH: Oh no…
Millie covered her mouth, then inched her hands up to cover her eyes.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Scotty got plenty of momentum but Faizah ducked the short arm lariat. Faizah leaped up and performed a frankensteiner! Latimer stayed on his feet but woozy. Faizah now came off the ropes for a rocket high knee to Latimer. Latimer bounced off the ropes, then Faizah sprung off the middle rope of the same set to land a kick to the mush! Latimer rolled over and over and laid out before a corner. Finally was the time for Faizah, she stepped out and Aliyah urged the B.A.E to move it.
Faizah got the top rope and performed the Best Splash ever, landing on Scotty - then Faizah pulled herself up, And Faizah hit the BAE Alert! Back to back splashes were enough to put away Scotty and score Faizah her third win.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING
In the ring, Aubrey Williams took to the mic to announce the winner.
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen your winner of this match - and with three wins an official challenger to the Grand Championship - Faizah Marshall!
Faizah quickly got herself out of the ring and Aliyah got between her and Scotty who was still inside the ring. He was not happy Faizah had got the win, certainly not as happy Faizah was as she backed up with Aliyah keeping watch for Scotty.
CUT TO: RAYVEN HARDY TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
RAYVEN HARDY: Can I just say I’ll be honored to defend the Grand Championship one on one against this girl. If she can overcome Scotty then I want to test her.
(Scene End) Winner: Faizah Marshall via Pinfall - BAE ALERT (Top Rope Moonsault) Match Time: 15:54
SEGMENT: ‘GETTING COMFORTABLE’
INT: BACKSTAGE AREA Rayven gets the five minute warning she’s due for her entrance. She stood up, dressed in a special one piece ring gear for tonight. Does a few last minute arm stretches when she hears the mechanical whirring of a virtual presence device rolling into her room.
MATT STONE: Thanks for leaving the door open, My Good Man.
And yes, Matt Stone on the screen entered the area with Rayven scowling right at him.
RAYVEN HARDY: You couldn’t just let be. Tonight is MY night to challenge and become Grand Champion.
MATT STONE: (CHUCKLING TO HIMSELF) No it isn’t.
RAYVEN HARDY: (AFFIRMATIVE TONE) Yes it is. MATT STONE: (CHUCKLING TO HIMSELF SLIGHTLY HARDY) No it isn’t.
Stone loudly slurped on his empty drink. Hardy did not like nor appreciate him bombarding her with that sound on top of his virtual presence.
MATT STONE: You’re going to choke like you always do. Always do, Rayven. And then you’ll be back at the grind, trying to collect three precious wins while I collect win after win like the start of Rocky 3, which I’ve been watching since you know - I’m not allowed in Tenacity this show. I’m not Allowed. I’m not allowed!
His voice had grated on her enough that she tried to turn off the device while Matt continued to taunt her. Eventually she just took off the screen and hurled it into the wall to crack it and make it lights out for Robo Matt.
RAYVEN HARDY: Looks like I just Shut you Up.
(Scene End)
'MATCH #5' 'OFFICIAL & GRAND’ VICTORIA SALINAS Vs RAYVEN HARDY
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
The contest kicked off with Aubrey’s introductions for champion and challenger. Rayven feigned a lock up and connected with a forearm. She had a burst of aggression - landing the mat slam before a pinfall attempt at one. Hardy ducked the clothesline and hit the ropes, coming back at the champion with a monkey flip! Salinas landed on her feet - back elbow to the champion, headlock and a springboard bulldog put Hardy on the mat.
Salinas went for the top rope moonsault this early and caught Hardy across the back. The champion tried to set up her finish this early but the challenger took the champion down fireman’s carry style before attacking the right wing with an arm slam, an arm trap knee drop, an elbow stomp, and Hardy even performed a running springboard moonsault double knee stomp. She called on the fans to cheer a little louder for that move and the champion tried to get in the corner. Hardy locked in on her target - double knee pressed caused Salinas to collide with the turnbuckle - roll up by Hardy as the official Boscoe counted one - two - th- NOPE Champion kicked out.
Hardy took control of the arm and drove her shoulder into Salinas’. The champion dropped to a knee after two more before Hardy pushed on the back of the shoulder while stretching the arm, almost trying to pop the arm out. Salinas would escape with a tuck and roll, swiping Hardy across the face with her heel, then a sliding dropkick would have set up a pin but Hardy rolled out the ring. No matter, Salinas threw caution to the wind by sailing over the top rope and sentoned on Hardy. She wasted no time in getting Rayven back in the ring. A step off the bottom rope DDT would’ve planted Hardy with a spike DDT but instead Hardy caught her! Bad arm and by the waist, an angle slam landing for Salinas who didn’t see Rayven hitting the corner springboard splash - hooked the leg again but Salinas is able to kick out.
CUT TO: ROME GALLAGHER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
ROME GALLAGHER: Hardy’s getting any and every fall she can out there. Smart, make the champ work to kick out - but guys how many two’s does it take to start playing mind games with you?
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Rayven throws Victoria across the ring with a hip toss, dropkick set the champion back into the corner. Salinas counters Hardy’s back elbow! Caught the challenger, spun and dropped her into a tree of woe. Before Rayven Hardy could free herself Salinas came flying off the ropes for a yakuza style kick to the mid-section. Rayven crumpled in a heap and Salinas pulled her away from the ropes - forcing the challenger to kick out before three. Salinas locked up both of Hardy’s arms behind her with her legs - ear clap, ear clap, right ear clap, left ear clap and then the champion twisted over to force Hardy to the mat - could she even hear the count? One - Two - Thr- nope Hardy managed to kick out. Hardy rubbed her ear to try end that horrible ringing sound and got roundhouse kicked through the ropes. Salinas locked in on her opponent. A leap over the rope to the apron and Senton - NO! Hardy caught her and swung the champion into the guard rail.
Salinas was down, hitting her head on the impact. Hardy heard the seven from Boscoe - knowing she can’t win the title on a count out she got Salinas back in the ring for a count of nine. Hardy hiit the head again with a neck snap - setting Hardy up for her finishing move - The Skittle Star Press! One - Two - Three! NO! Salinas got the bad arm up, the bad arm off the mat before the official could call time on her reign.
Hardy sat on her knees for one, two, three seconds unsure what to do. She looked down and stomped repeatedly on Salina’s shoulder. Hardy pulled Salinas up and drove her shoulder into the champion’s weakened one, setting up a bridging fisherman’s suplex but yet again the champion kicked out, and Hardy let out a frustrated scream.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - MATT’S BACHELOR PAD
MATT STONE: (LAUGHING) Not so easy is it, Bleeding Gums Rayven Hardy? I think that roundhouse earlier really caught her bad on the mouth.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) The champion took a few kicks solely to hit back with a spinning side kick, nearly set up a DDT but Hardy spun out - into Salinas with a wicked spinning back fist and then she drove Rayven Hardy into the ropes. Champion could be heard asking Hardy how does it feel? Hardy was brought to the center of the ring for Vanity Breaker and Hardy had it scouted. Back Body Drop and a jumping seated senton saw Salinas left breathless - challenger caught the legs as they came up for extra leverage. One - Two - Three New Champ? NO! Salinas managed to kick out again and Rayven couldn’t believe it again. She struck with a hard kick to the shoulder - forced the champion back up. Hardy whipped Salinas off the ropes and connected with a side slam. Hardy back rolled onto her feet and a big vertical jump saw Hardy come down with a knee to the shoulder. Hardy left Salinas rolling on the mat in pain while she climbed the ropes. Hardy took no time to taunt and hit her second shooting star press - BUT Salinas got both knees up! And Hardy scouted it and stuck the landing. She rolled Salinas onto her feet and struck with a big DDT Salinas had been locking for.
Salinas got rolled over. Forearm across the shoulders, both legs hooked, Hardy nodded to each slap of the mat but the third didn’t hit slap against the canvas - Salinas threw her shoulder off the mat on instinct.
Rayven decided to pull Salinas over and locked her arm in her legs applying a crossface. If she can’t beat the champ on pinfall, she’d make Salinas give up the title. The lock was around the eyes so Victoria couldn’t see. She crawled but the ropes were going to be a long crawl. After twenty-twenty five seconds of the hold, Salinas turned it into the closest pinfall of the match yet. Rayven kicked out and rolled out the ring because she had just come so close to losing the title match.
CUT TO: MARINA MARSTON TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MARINA MARSTON: No way that wasn’t it..
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Rayven Hardy saw Salinas favoring the arm, and she slipped back in. Double foot stomp off the bottom rope and she tried to lock the crossface back in. No good, Salinas broke her grip and she caught an elbow to the neck. Hardy still beat the champ to her feet, side stepped the roundhouse, but the sidewalk slam saw Salinas turn it into an inverted DDT and she locked the crossface in on the champion. Hardy was able to fight out of it because the bad arm was closer. Hammer fist to the elbow joint let Hardy escape. Salinas ducked Hardy’s attempt at a roundhouse. A forearm to the back of the head pushed Hardy into the ropes and Salinas dropkicked Hardy through the ropes for a precarious landing on the outside. Hardy was really favoring her shoulder. Boscoe went out to check on her and she demanded to keep fighting.
Salinas stepped out and a running penalty kick to Hardy’s shoulder evoked a shriek of pain that left the front row averting their gaze. Salinas got her challenger back in the ring, sent her to the corner but Hardy came flying out with a hellacious lariat from hell. The champion was turned inside out and Hardy saw it as her chance to finish. Skittle Star Press was set up but the champion rolled out the ring. Hardy, in this moment, still performed the finish and landed on Salinas as both stars crashed to the floor. Referee Boscoe counted them both here, up to a nine when Salinas and Hardy were sent back into the ring courtesy of Kidd Dudley who, like the fans, didn’t want to see it end on a double count out.
Salinas and Ray got to their knees exchanging hard slaps which turned into fists flying like crazy. The champion won the exchange and gutwrench suplexed Hardy over. Double foot stomp off the second rope! MISSED! Hardy moved out the way and Salinas’ right foot landed on it’s side. The champ clutched her foot in pain, behind the challenger’s back who needed the ropes to get back up herself.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - POOLSIDE AT THE MATT BACHELOR PAD
MATT STONE: Kidd Moe just ruined a great ending. Rayven Hardy counted out and sent to the back of the line where she’d have protested about it week in, week out.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Rayven didn’t see it, as the champion avoided showing it, rope hung double boot to the oncoming Hardy, and Salinas goes for a crucifix driver! Hardy too strong and keeps hold of the champ! Fireman’s Carry Toss out the ring and Salinas falls to the floor clutching the right foot. Hardy sees it this time and slid out. A slam against the steps is good enough for Hardy as she rolled the champion back inside. Tree of woe for Salinas as Rayven stands, stomping on the ankle to make Victoria lean upwards. Double Foot Stomp! NO! Salinas straightened out and Hardy hits the mat. Salinas freed herself into a piledriver position on Hardy! PILEDRIVER to the challenger! Vanity Breaker Is DEFINITELY OFF THE CARDS BUT Vainglorious Victory comes into play! The Armbar hold is just too much for the champion here who passed out from it all, with Boscoe quickly to call the match over and forcing the champion to break the hold.
