BOSCOE CLARK: I’ve never missed a day of work refereeing in this business - until today. I think I got food poisoning or something but from where?
CUT TO: INT THE VENUE- CATERING - EARLIER TODAY DANE MITCHELL is opening all the food up with CLEMENTINE SMITH on bread buttering duties. Boscoe Clark walked by. Before he can reach out for one of the many blue wrapped sandwiches, he’s intercepted by DANIELLE PAGE who is unusually early.
DANIELLE PAGE: (TAKING HIS HAND AND BRIEFLY DANCING) Hey there, Ref.
BOSCOE CLARK: You’re in a really good mood.
DANIELLE PAGE: (STILL DANCING WITH HIM) I’m just excited about how tonight’s going to end - you raising my hand. Like so.
Danielle made him twirl her, and then raised her own hand up.
DANIELLE PAGE: You. Sandwich Girl. You’re blonde like Audrey Walliams. You announce me the winner.
CLEMENTINE SMITH: (CORRECTING DANIELLE) Aubrey Williams.
DANIELLE PAGE: Okay. Aubrey Williams, will you just say Audrey’s line? Announce me the winner - my arm’s getting tired.
CLEMENTINE SMITH: No my name’s not Aubrey
DANIELLE PAGE: (DROPPING HER ARM TO STRETCH IT OUT) Well how am I supposed to know your name when you’re not even wearing a name tag. Boscoe, I gotta go. See you out there tonight.
BOSCOE CLARK: Yeah see you out there.
Boscoe then collected up the only red wrapped sandwich on the side and gave Clem a nod.
BOSCOE CLARK: Tell Dane thank you for me, Young Lady.
CLEMENTINE SMITH: No problem!
Clementine then wrapped up another sandwich with the blue sandwich wrap which she stickered with Dane’s logo upon it.

'MATCH #1' 'DEBUT APPETIZER’ DANE MITCHELL Vs KENDRICK KROSS
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
Kendrick Kross was game to win his last match to challenge the Grand Champion. Dane Mitchell wanted to impress and knock off a former contender. The experience difference was on display as Kross refused to let Dane get a technical advantage by hitting two knee lifts. The second dropped Dane to his knees, and Kross delivered a big open hand slap to the chest. Headlock takeover followed but Dane freed himself with the headscissors lock. Dane beat Kross to his feet, matrix duck avoided the clothesline. Jumping neckbreaker by Dane caught Kross for the first cover of the night but Kross was quick to kick out.
Kross gained control of the match after Dane felt like a springboard; dropkick caught by Kross whom came down with a double heel to the abdomen. Kross let Dane Mitchell sit up and hit the ropes, ran past Dane and springboard back kick completely flattened out Mitchell. Kross scored a cover but Dane was able to fight on. Mitchell was grounded by Kross as he worked on the abdomen, before Kross tried to put away Dane with a backslide. Kross lost him and Dane managed to string together a shining wizard before he would deliver a standing moonsault. Yet again, Kross managed to kick out.
CUT TO: KENDRICK KROSS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
KENDRICK KROSS: I’m the guy in Tenacity Wrestling who’s brought Victoria to a near loss when the title is on the line. These fans shouldn’t chant for Faiz, they should be chanting for their future champion, Kendrick Kross.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) We see Kross attempt a drive by boot to Dane who’s leaning on the middle rope, but Mitchell avoided the blow! Kross got dragged back into the ring by Dane who had a sleeper hold. Once Kross got his footing he elbowed his way out, only to miss Dane on the rebound with a knee, Dane rebounded off the ropes for a springboard sleeper slam! Kross felt the crowd heat up and continued to build offense. In the corner he performed a big jumping arm drag that sent Kross into the opposite corner. Dane landed a running senton, before heading to the outside. Dane took a little too long to get to the top rope and took a big right hand. This time Kross performs a top rope move, HUGE BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX leaves Dane feeling his back.
Kross followed up with a running kick to the abdomen, straight into Kross’ DDT but Orville still only counts to a two count. This annoys Kross who starts telling Orville how fast the count should be, turning back to powerslam Dane - only getting a two count again. The disbelief on Kendrick’s face who again blames Orville..
CUT TO: FAIZAH MARSHALL TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
ORVILLE FULTON: I’m trying my best out there, and he's, you know, criticizing me when it’s not my fault you can’t put down your opponent. You know? People need to be nicer around here, like Danielle.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Dane got sent into the corner and Kross turned him around. Repeated knee lifts to the abdomen as Orville counted the three, before Kross backed up. Kendrick landed a straight headbutt to Dane before cleaning Dane’s clock with a step-up enziguri! One, two but Kross sees Dane fight on. He bites his tongue, figuratively, and caught Dane with a single running knee lift to the jaw - this set up Brainwashed (Lifting Single Underhook DDT) with Kross making sure the leg was hooked. Orville slapped the mat once, twice and it was over - NO! Dane Mitchell’s last second kick out.
Now the blame was put swiftly on Orville. Kross pointed out Dane’s a rookie and Orville’s some kind of underdog sympathizer but he’s counted two damn slow. Orville then watched as Dane Mitchell got up and went for the school boy roll up resulting in a 1.9 but Orville’s fast count made it 2.999999. The whole audience was surprised how close it was, as was Dane whom caught Kross’s knee to the jaw followed by the Tramp Stamp (Curb Stomp)
Rightfully annoyed, Kross shouted at Orville to make the count and despite a brief, tensioned pause by Orville, he counted the three count.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
Wearing a baggy blue shirt, a long brown hair wig tied into a ponytail and a pair of red shorts - Matt Stone remarked.
MATT STONE: Worst Referee Ever.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING
In the ring, Aubrey Williams took to the mic to announce the winner.
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen your winner of this match - Kendrick Kross
Kross stood up and there was no hand raised - Orville didn’t dare. Kross gave the official an annoyed look before reminding the audience he had now qualified for the championship match again.
CUT TO: VICTORIA SALINAS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Not this guy again….
(Scene End) Winner: Kendrick Kross via Pinfall - Tramp Stamp (Curb Stomp) Match Time: 15:42
SEGMENT: ‘MY SPOT’
.::MUSIC CUE::. “Dirty Angel” by Voodoo Johnson
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING “Dirty Angel” interrupts the festivities immediately as the crowd rises to their feet. Scotty Latike appears in one of the aisle entrances as he looks around towards the crowd. He make his way through the crowd who gives him a huge ovation for being a fan favorite. Latimer comes over the guard rail and rolls into the ring. He looks around then at the ringside attendant and puts his hands out for a microphone. He thumps the receiver as he checks to see if it's working.
SCOTTY LATIMER: So how is everyone? Sorry Iissed last week but we'll. I wasn't invited….
The crowd boos as Scotty continues.
SCOTTY LATIMER: Now let me finish before you all start deciding to boo. I am out here to voice a grievance. It's not me losing the match to Victoria, I'm not going to hold South grapes to that. But the fact a tournament was held last week and I wasn't involved is absolute bullshit.
The crowd cheers again.
SCOTTY LATIMER: I'm an original in this company, been here since day1. But no…instead of having me, one of the Smith girls' boyfriend got the spot and conveniently won. Isn't that nice? Don't put the guy who's busting his ass here since day 1 but put the guy who is sticking it in the right crack in
The crowd reacts in a chorus of shock with what Scotty said.
SCOTTY LATIMER: What? The only way to be a champion here is either being a simp for a Smith or what. I am a married man and I get punished for not kissing Sabtina’s ass? Smith girls are like cockroaches; they just come out of the woodwork. And apparently here if you're banging one you get an opportunity that you never earned here in the first place!
The crowd continues to cheer.
SCOTTY LATIMER: Oh…and spare me your cheers. You marks all popped for the undeserving clown to take my spot in the tournament because Tenacity Wrestling shows me no respect. They show me no respect, and neither do you assholes.
The crowd boos Scotty's sudden turn on them.
SCOTTY LATIMER: You know what….fine. I tried playing by the rules, and what did that give me? Shit. I'm tired of being the team player, I'm tired of being a nice guy. I'm going to become a cancer here in Tenacity. I'm going to do what I want, whenever I want, to whoever I want too. I am the Rogue Nightmare Scotty Latimer, and it's time to live up to my reputation!!
Scotty drops the microphone as he continues to talk. He leaves the ring as he intimidates fans and tells them how he feels as he disappears behind the curtain.
(Scene End)
'MATCH #2' 'MS MM’ MATT STONE Vs MARINA MARSTON
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING The bell rings and Marina charged in for a lock up with Matt, as Matt Stone managed to grapple up. A knee lift stopped Marina’s momentum before Stone gutwrench suplexed Double M into the turnbuckle.
Matt Stone would then take the time to step out the ring and tear up the Rayven Hardy sign, in fact the three signs he saw ringside - disappointing the Rayven stans. Marina was okay to continue and actually lunged for Matt again, getting behind for a rear waist lock. Stone broke the hold, arm wrench but Marina standing front flip reversed the wrench and she boxed the right ear. Stone stumbled away but got pulled into a roll up by Marina who only scored a two. One win away from the title contention, Marina proceeded to pin Stone again, and again with catch style pins. Stone managed to boot her away and tried a small package pin, Marina kicked out at one but Stone quickly applied a knee to the back and a chinlock to rest hold. Marina’s fanbase got behind her, prompting her to get back up - only for Stone to head slam her into the mat Once again Stone went for a gutwrench but Marina landed on her feet and proceeded to kick Matt square in the back. Stone didn’t get up and Marina came off the ropes with a sliding clothesline - pinning Stone again for two. Marina looked to finish Matt with her Seeing Stars but Stone got to the ropes before she could get it locked in. Stone went out, this time on the opposite side of the ring he was before, and ripped another sign - a dual Rayven Hardy Marina Marston sign. Marina picked up some speed and suicide dive to send Matt into the guard rail.
CUT TO: MARINA MARSTON TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MARINA MARSTON: My name was on that signage too. It’s like Matt doesn’t realize the fans can spend up to hours making them. So I did totes pour some water on him. Cool him off some.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) The crowd, especially ringside applauded Marina dumping a half drunk water bottle on Stone. He wasn’t easy to get back into the ring and she readied her flying crossbody. Fully connected - but Stone rolled and stood up with Marina in his clutches. Rib Breaker! Marina rolled off clutching her right side as Matt Stone proceeded to springboard stomp on her hand and ribs, and suffice to say he continued to work over the area with stomps even if Marina had to ropes. Stone connected with a strong irish whip to send Marina into the corner and he went for a rarely used spear. Marina hoisted herself up with the top rope to avoid it and Stone collided with the corner post. She ran to the opposite corner, sprang off the second rope to keep the momentum and rolling senton to Matt Stone in the corner - pinning him again for two as Matt got a foot on the rope.
Matt was left dizzy when Marina landed a running headscissors, before she got another pinfall attempt after a flying crossbody. Marston landed on the bad rib with a standing moonsault that got blocked by Stone; leading Matt to hit a running dropkick to the bad ribs. Marina slammed her heels into the mat in pain but Stone forced her up and applied the abdominal stretch. Marina’s agonized screams were immediate and the fans rallying support was just as quick. However, Stone’s hammer fists to the area stunted any comeback from Marina. He wanted the tap out victory but Marina wasn’t giving in - so Stone begrudgingly gave in - and turned the hold into a second rib breaker, following up with a sliding knee to the area. This time Matt landed the Stone Cutter on the abdomen rather than the back, and he tried to put Marina away with a Piledriving Miss. Daisy (Stalling Piledriver) - BUT Marina would kick out at 2.999999999 before referee Orville could count three.
CUT TO: RAYVEN HARDY TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
RAYVEN HARDY: Stone comes up short yet again. Grand Title Match - Grand Tournament - Marina Marston. It’s like his one defining trait.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Matt landed a suplex on Marina before putting her in the corner. He went through his 10 Count punch - well 9 but Marina Marston tripped Matt with elbows to the back of his knees - Matt crashed on his back - and Marina off the second rope landed a fist drop which the fans counted as 10. Stone avoided Marina’s leaping leg lariat, quickly striking with a spinning neckbreaker and showed Marina how to do the fist drop with the kiss to the knuckles first - though his fist met nothing but mat. Stone clutched his hand while Marina hit him with an arm trap rolling pin. Matt struggled but got his arm free to kick out in the last nanosecond. This had Marina on her knees in disbelief.
Almost as if her body had shut down because it thought she’d won, she was slow to get back up but still avoided Matt Stone’s gut kick, spinning around him for a russian legsweep - no - Stone counters into a crossface? Marina rolled through and out of it leaving Matt on the floor for a hurricanrana driver - NO! Matt pushed her off. Both on their knees and Matt hit a desperation full force headbutt. Marina fell back clutching her nose, thankfully not broken but Stone was able to get on up - C-C-C-COMBOBREAKER by Stone who hooked the leg and scores the one, two but did he get the three?
Rayven Hardy got a foot up on the rope however referee Orville missed it and called for the bell. Hardy ducked back down and couldn’t believe it when she heard…
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING
In the ring, Aubrey Williams took to the mic to announce the winner.
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen, your winner of this match… Matt Stone! Marina rolled out of the ring and was very surprised to see Rayven ringside. Hardy was trying to tell the official he’d made a mistake - resulting in Matt Stone knocking Hardy off the apron and onto Marina
Winner: Matt Stone via Pinfall - Combobreaker (Codebreaker) Match Time: 09:56 (Scene End) SEGMENT: ‘NEW ARRIVALS’
EXT: THE VENUE - PARKING LOT Arriving in his truck, dressed not to compete is the winner of the 1st Grand Wrestling Arts tournament DERRICK LA’BELL who spotted ASHER FORRESTER wearing his security badge around his neck with a chain.
DERRICK LA’BELL: Ash. Is the GM in her office?
ASHER FORRESTER: Yeah, down the hall, second right.
DERRICK LA’BELL: Thanks.
JESSICA CARTER: Hold on a minute.
Jessica Carter appeared, dressed to compete with a microphone in hand.
JESSICA CARTER: I know I’m up next but if anyone’s getting this exclusive interview with the tournament winner, you best believe it’s Jess. No Mimi?
However she quickly switched to a more antagonistic demeanor.
JESSICA CARTER: You know what, no time for that. Let me just ask this one burning question - Who do you think you’ll challenge for the title - Victoria Salinas? Danielle Page? Kidd Dudley?
DERRICK LA’BELL: Well, Jess. The way I see it.
JESSICA CARTER: I really don’t have time for a long thought. Next time, but right now we’re looking for the quick answer.
Derrick is taken back, and resorted to his MMA go to answer.
DERRICK LA’BELL: No Comment in that case.
Which allowed Jess to dash off to make it to the ring in time for her match. Derrick La’Bell casually looked behind him to welcome his traveling companion Mimi who smiled and waved towards someone.
The cameraman does a complete 180 swivel to see LOGAN TRAEGER who has himself a seat to watch the show backstage on the communal TV.
LOGAN TRAEGER: La’Bell. Spending that tournament money already?
DERRICK LA’BELL: Not yet, LT.
The camera follows the tournament winner as he followed the directions until he reached Carmen’s office. Mimi snapped a photo of him before he would go for the door handle. The handle bent down before La’Bell can grab it. Out came DARCY GRAVES with a fancy pen who waved hello to Derrick.
DARCY GRAVES: We meet again.
DERRICK LA’BELL: Darcy. You’re blocking the doorway.
DARCY GRAVES: Am I? Let’s hope that doesn’t foreshadow me blocking anything else for you. Oh Hi.
Darcy said to Derrick, with the last part directed towards Mimi as Darcy made her way down the hall.
DERRICK LA’BELL: You won’t. FYI
MIMI SMITH: You tell her, Bammers. Let’s get back to your contract signing.
(Scene End)
'MATCH #3' 'FIRST TIME FACE-OFF’ JESSICA CARTER Vs SHANE SWEENEY
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
Jessica Carter and Shane locked up with Jessica going for the Veneno early. She may have won it had Sweeney not scouted it and pushed her off. The pair traded holds until Jess was unceremoniously dropped face first with the front suplex by Sweeney, headstand into a bridging chinlock by Shane. The Carter Girl got herself to the ropes and Sweeney refused to break until the last possible second. Sweeney landed a handspring moonsault on Jess after a DDT, posing in front of her for the fans behind the hard camera. A giant swing sent Jess across the ring and Sweeney looked to put her away after a springboard back kick; Carter still managed to kick out.
Carter delivered multiple chops to try fend off Sweeney, took a knee, but still fought out a DDT by performing a spinning heel kick. Sweeney retreated to the corner where Jessica hit two back to back hip attacks. The lass from Worcester put some extra sauce on the DDT before she pushed Sweeney down for a cover. Orville counted two but Sweeney was able to kick out.
Jessica looked to finish off Sweeney with Bonne Nuit after delivering the stunned silence DDT - blowing a kiss Orville’s way during it. Sweeney avoided the impact, but he was made to back off by the official who was perhaps too diligent in checking if Jess could continue, and Carter used it plenty to reset.
CUT TO: DANIELLE PAGE TALKING HEAD - RINGSIDE
DANIELLE PAGE: Okay you’re milking it a little too much there, Carter.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Jess was able to duck the lock up and ran Sweeney into the ropes. Sweeney held the ring ropes to avoid the roll up. Stunned Jess with a back elbow and a swinging back suplex set up Sweeney for an arrogant one foot pinfall attempt that Orville refused to count? Sweeney snapped his fingers but still no count. He then confronted Orville who muttered that wasn’t cool. Jess interrupted the conflict with her jumping backstabber. Jess quickly dragged him to the ropes. She sprang to the top rope and went for the show stealer! But Sweeney rolled out the way, Jess landed on her feet and hit a standing moonsault instead - pinning Sweeney with Orville stunned by her athleticism he was a second behind on the cover. One, Two - but Sweeney kicked out.
Shane dropped Jess to the middle rope with a right hand closed fist and choked. Orville didn’t even count and demanded Shane get off. Shane almost struck the official, and he wanted to in that moment. He let the official’s shirt go, and turned his attention back to climbing the ladder, ducking Jess’s flying hip attack - catching her on his shoulders, shifting her around for a powerbomb lungblower. It set him up for his Envy Driver (Death Valley Driver) that left Jessica Carter out for the count..
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING
In the ring, Aubrey Williams took to the mic to announce the winner.
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen, your winner of this match….Shane Sweeney!
Shane Sweeney looked to celebrate his win but he was rushed by someone who came down the ramp and blind sided Shane with a double axe handle clothesline upside the back of the head. Several stomps on his back before she would apply a Kimura lock dubbed Grave Robber. It was none other than Darcy Graves. Referee Orville was not coming to his aid after the prior confrontation so Sweeney was forced to get under the ropes to break the hold.
Darcy embraced the boos from the crowd as she acted almost as if they were deafening cheers for her arrival.
CUT TO: DARCY GRAVES TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
DARCY GRAVES: I just wanted to let everyone know I’m here, full time. Be seeing you around - Sweeney, La’Bell and of course our champion Victoria. Such a pretty, pretty title.
(Scene End) Winner: Shane Sweeney via Pinfall - Envy Driver (Death Valley Driver) Match Time: 16:11
SEGMENT: ‘END OF THE REIGN’
INT: THE VENUE - BEHIND THE CURTAIN A stone throw away from gorilla saw VICTORIA SALINAS waiting for her next title defense. She was earlier than her opponent who arrived slightly fashionably late in a sparkling outfit that picked up every light.
DANIELLE PAGE: End of the line.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Say again?
DANIELLE PAGE: I said end of the line. You’re walking out with that Tenacity Grand Championship - but it is your final walk out. This is the dawn of the Grand Diamond Princess reign, a reign that I don’t ever see coming to and end. Yes - I’m about to pay you a compliment. You’ve been a great defending champion. Matt, Jess, Kendrick and Scott all tried and failed. So when they see me overthrow our iron champ, they may just exit the company altogether.
VICTORIA SALINAS: And yet you made it about yourself.
DANIELLE PAGE: I am the best person here. I’m just gonna collect the belt to prove it. See you out there, Former-Champ.
As a punctuation, Danielle added a false as false can be smile.
.::MUSIC CUE::. “B R Right” by By Trina Ft Ludacris
Victoria then watched as her opponent stepped through the curtain and got a big applause from the official in the ring.
(Scene End)
'MATCH #4' 'OFFICIAL & GRAND’ VICTORIA SALINAS Vs DANIELLE PAGE
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
The contest begins with Danielle insisting on the official checking Victoria for any concealed foreign objects - and heavily implied that's the only way how Salinas would be able to win. Victoria let Orville check her boots but she stopped it there. Danielle tried to get the crowd to chant behind her and got a running forearm that put her in the corner. Salinas added a few gut kicks and tried to end the match very early with a slingshot back suplex. Danielle kicked out and rolled out the ring before she ripped up a sign in frustration.
Salinas looked for another forearm by flying through the ropes only to be stopped by Danielle getting in a big uppercut that left the champion dangling between the upper and middle ropes. Danielle built up her walk up the steps and a running boot to Salinas. A big, stiff kick put the champion back in but she came back swinging. Danielle turned her back after the kick and Salinas dragged Page in with a sleeper clutch. Danielle's thumb to the eye saw the official get involved but Danielle said it was a total accident and Orville accepted it. No warning, in fact he was strict on that being the decision. Victoria got caught by Danielle's straight punch, and a backslide showcased the challenger's power. Salinas noticed the count was a tad fast. Victoria couldn't say anything as she had to duck Danielle's spinning back elbow. Salinas struck back with some chops, two hit but Orville caught the third and told the champion to watch the strikes. The champion rightfully reminded the official she wasn't throwing closed fists.
CUT TO: RAYVEN HARDY TALKING HEAD - RINGSIDE
RAYVEN HARDY: This official has forgotten some basic rules. Danielle had him wrapped around her finger.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Danielle recovered off the ropes and struck the champion with a closed fists and got no warning but a compliment about how well she connected. Danielle busted out a bicycle kick to drop the champ to a seated position and went for a shining wizard DUCKES by Salinas who did a roll up! One - and Orville told Aubrey he caught Salinas using the tights and that's her official warning. Salinas, and fans, hurled some verbal barbs his way. Salinas didn't take her eye off Danielle and caught her with a gut kick. A side headlock let Vic remind Orville to call this match properly but she took several elbows to the ribs. Danielle added a head slam before she stroked the underside of Orville's chin with the edge of her finger, complimenting his smile and hair.
Salinas turned over and Danielle ran atop Salinas into the ropes for a sliding dropkick. She rolled Salinas over for a One count but it was technically a 2.5. Danielle kept ahold of the champion and struck some knee lifts before a suplex. She didn't think she'd put Salinas down. After an axe kick however, she did. One, two but technically nearly three by how fast the official counted and Danielle was having the beginning of a tantrum when Salinas kicked out.
CUT TO: DANIELLE PAGE TALKING HEAD - RINGSIDE.
DANIELLE PAGE: Get a room.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Danielle quickly got a roll up on Salinas - though the champion turned it into a leg trap camel clutch until Danielle started taking biceps to the side of her head. She piggybacked the champion up off her feet and Salinas got the wind driven out of her with a rolling senton by Page. The challenger broke the count at six and struck Salinas with a spinning back elbow, headlock and the running bulldog - NO! Salinas shoved Page off to land seated. A kick to the back and then Salinas hit the ropes going for a running penalty kick but pulled the breaks as Orville stood in front of Danielle. She looked exceptionally proud of him as he started to say he wasn’t going to let Salinas intentionally injure Page with the boot. The champion argued back and Orville got shoved. Salinas didn’t care if she got DQ’d - Champion’s advantage - but Danielle jumped to her feet.
The Diamond Princess told Orville not to dq the champion, and let it resume. Once she had the go ahead - Salinas performs a crucifix pin and Danielle kicks out. The Small Package by the challenger that rolled around the ring, confusing Orville who performed a fast count, eventually, on Danielle - who luckily kicked out and she looked at the official annoyed. This allowed the champion to hit a backbreaker, and she prepared to finish off her challenger when Danielle raked the eyes.
Salinas recoiled to the corner and Danielle Page unloaded with stomps, boots, punches with absolutely zero count from Orville. It was here we had the appearance of Special Guest Referee Matt Stone of all people. Stone began a count and Danielle stopped her offense until she saw it was Matt.
CUT TO: FAIZAH MARSHALL TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
FAIZAH MARSHALL: I’m gonna be honest, I think this is the end of the champ’s reign. Shame, I thought once I picked up that last win - I’d be best in Tenacity, BAE, Best at Everything including snatching that title away from Salinas.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) The challenger told Stone to get lost as he wasn’t the official, the acting official was Orville. To which Matt agreed - Stone Cutter to Orville left him as the only viable option now.
Salinas pulled herself up with a two visible cuts giving her somewhat a crimson mask. Danielle stunned the champion as she tried to get going with a boot to the knee and a double underhook DDT. Danielle held the clutch, proceeded to get back to her feet, and delivered it again. This had to be it - One, Two, And Salinas kicked out. Danielle’s whole body just violently shook as she’d been used to the fast counts all evening, perhaps Matt’s standard count felt slow. She slapped him and went to revive Orville on the outside. Stone saw another opportunity for Stone Cutter but he abstained. Instead it was Salinas who struck with sliding body guillotine to Salinas and Orville ate a double knee impact from the champ.
Salinas quickly got herself back in and struck Danielle with a jawbreaker into the Vanity Breaker to secure the win tonight, with Matt Stone counting one, two, three.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING
In the ring, Aubrey Williams took to the mic to announce the winner.
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen your winner of this match and STILL Tenacity Wrestling Grand Champion…Victoria Salinas!
The champion and challenger laid on the ring mat together, exhausted from tonight’s event. To say this was her hardest defense was for the fans to decide, but she clutched the title extra tight as Danielle started to roll herself from the ring.
CUT TO: RAYVEN HARDY TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
RAYVEN HARDY: Matt Stone spoils another contender. Sorry we need to cut this one short. I need to speak to Carmen about a Banned from Ringside sitch.
And the fans begin to boo as Danielle Page exits through the fans proudly holding the Grand title above her head.
CUT TO: VICTORIA SALINAS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Never again. That official needs firing.
(Scene End) Winner: Victoria Salinas via Pinfall - Vanity Breaker Match Time: 22:07 Title: Tenacity Grand Championship (4th Title Defense) Title: Title Retained
SEGMENT: ‘EXCLUDING IS THE NEW MATT’
INT: THE VENUE - BACKSTAGE Carmen exited her office, with a sigh to be glad the show was over. That was until she saw RAYVEN HARDY appear from around the corner just ahead of her.
RAYVEN HARDY: Great. You’re still here!
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: Rayven, I’ve just left my office. I’m on my way out this can wait until another day. I’d like to put today behind me.
The GM tried to say politely and began walking down the hall, yet Rayven kept pace with her.
RAYVEN HARDY: Actually this relates to that upcoming show. The one where I’m taking on Victoria. See I don’t see it right, fair, or just that we let Matt Stone be anywhere near my match. He’s just going to ensure I lose, when most if not all of the locker room think, no, believe in me to dethrone Victoria Salinas.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: And I look forward to seeing you try to do just that.
RAYVEN HARDY: Please can we just amend the match stipulation, though. I’d rather have it be Victoria vs Rayven - Matt Stone banned from ringside.
This caused Carmen to stop in her tracks. She pulled out her phone and got to the upcoming card.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: Luckily I don’t have Matt booked, otherwise I wouldn’t entertain this idea. I’ll let him know his attendance isn’t needed for the next show, and marketing to make the fans aware he’ll be banned from ringside.
Cue Rayven Hardy’s christmas morning opening present face.
RAYVEN HARDY: Oh thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: As I said, you were lucky I didn’t have him slated to compete - though he’s qualified for contention - you two may end up squaring off in the not two distance future - assuming you can dethrone our fighting champion.
Leaving Rayven to turn around with a bright smile, almost exploding with excitement she got her way.
CUT TO: RAYVEN HARDY TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
RAYVEN HARDY: That’s that. Bye Matty, Hello, Vicky. It really will be The Enchanted Evening after all!
