Tenacity Wrestling - Show 7: Call Of The Champion April 22nd, 2024
'MATCH #1' 'TWO FIGHTING FOR TWO’ SCOTTY LATIMER Vs RAION KIDO
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
Starting the show off right at 00:00 is the opening bell with Latimer and Raion Kido squaring off, both guys with energy to spare - Latimer cracking knuckles and neck.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MATT STONE: These two are what I like to call in my rear view mirror. Fighting to advance to where I’m at but by the end of the night I’m going to be a contender..
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) The pair lock up and Kido has the technical advantage. Latimer shoved him off into the ropes - only to get stunned by Kido knocking him down with a running shoulder block. Scotty’s surprised state allowed Kido to pick up some speed and hit the classic sunset flip for one - Latimer popped the shoulder up as fast as Kido collided with him. Kido put Scotty in the corner for a very sharp knife’s edge chop, Latimer staggered along the ropes to another corner where he took another. Not wanting to take a third, Kido got pulled into the corner by Latimer who drove his shoulder into the abdomen of the Japanese star, then went for a Northern lights suplex but Kido escaped and landed on his feet.
Kido to hit the ropes again, coming back with the sling blade. Raion went for an early finish with LIGHTNING BOLT but Latimer managed to block it, threw a haymaker and dragged Kido back into a full nelson atomic buster.
Kido held his tailbone which had been shocked by the ring canvas, allowing Scott to pack some speed behind a hooligan boot to the face and looked to secure his second win towards title contention - but Kido kicked out on two.
CUT TO: MARINA MARSTON TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MARINA MARSTON: That one looked like it really hurt. Noted, for if I ever face Scotty - I’d rather not have him rearrange my face with that. No thank you.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Raion landed on his back with a snap back suplex and gave Scotty the chance to land a big elbow off the top rope - Scotty flew off and elbowed the respected ring mat. It must have been the funny bone, as Latimer remained on the mat. Kido actually used Scotty as a step, landed on the top rope and moonsaults onto Latimer for a flashy pop, but Latimer fought on valiantly.
Scotty found a turning point - this time avoiding Kido’s corner dropkick and landed a very quickly executed brainbuster. After Kido kicked out, Scotty performed three corner slingshot elbow drops, two to the ribs, one to the face - though three elbow drops equaled a two count pinfall
CUT TO: SCOTTY LATIMER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
SCOTTY LATIMER: He just wouldn’t go down. I squashed the stuffing out of him like I did my kids toy - accidentally. Did it three times to Raion and he kept going - RIP Mr. Tigerclaw though.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Scotty catapulted Raion Kido onto the top rope. Kido instinctively went for the moonsault - CAUGHT in mid air by Latimer who executed the brainbuster with all that momentum Kido brought into the spot. Fans rose to their feet to cheer, with a slight fear and concern for Raion who earned a valiant pop when he kicked out with authority and turned over. Scotty’s eyes told the whole story. He got up, slowly, clutched Kido by the hair and measured every strike to the forehead. Shot after shot struck Kido’s forehead, the final one drawing blood with a slight cut.
After the official checked Kido still wanted to continue, Latimer pounced like a tiger, driving Kido into the corner, two shoulders to the ribs - BUT Kido repeatedly elbowed down on the neck, clobbered Latimer back with a knee - finally connecting with a german suplex into ATOMIC THUNDER! Kido dove on Scotty for a pin.
CUT TO: RAION KIDO TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
RAION KIDO: I still don’t understand it - that should have worked. He was down, he was out - I saw it.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Scotty sat up, breathing heavy as Kido was on his knees, Scotty hit a jab and took a chop. Jab - Chop - Jab - Chop, until Scotty ended it with a headbutt to the wound. Kido stumbled into the ropes where Scotty hit a running crossbody sending both men crashing to the outside in a tumble. Out there, Scotty would land a running spike DDT which allowed him to return Kido back into the ring and repay Kido’s earlier lariat with a rogue one of his own.
Latimer then pushed down on both shoulders, watched referee Boscoe count and fell to his back when he heard the three count.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING
In the ring, Aubrey Williams took to the mic to announce the winner.
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen your winner of this match - Scotty Latimer!
Scotty sat back on his heels, feeling his temple as one of twenty spots that really hurt now the adrenaline was wearing off. He rolled himself out the ring, hugged his wife and made his way backstage.

INT. GYM - EARLIER IN THE WEEK ABBY BLAKE is dressed to sweat, air pods in, looking at her form in the mirror while sitting on a bench working her shoulders with a pair of dumbbells.
That's when she is surprised to see someone in the mirror approaching, recognizing him instantly. He’s not even dressed to work out, suggesting he came here with the express intent to talk rather than use the facility.
MATT STONE: Abigail Blake, just the executive I was looking for, what are the odds of that?
Abby set her dumbbells down and took one of her air pods out.
ABBY BLAKE: (UNDER HER BREATH) Tag the gym they said. Get a free protein shake they said.
Abby Blake rested her hands on her lap.
ABBY BLAKE: Is there a reason why you're interrupting my workout? I've got a match later this month to prepare for you know, Man.
Matt raised an eyebrow at her question, wondering why the star of the company is b=eing addressed in such a manor.
MATT STONE: I’m sure your biceps are going to carry you to victory, but what I wanted to talk to you about is a little more pressing than that.
He walks around the bench she’s sitting on so that he’s now standing in front of her.
MATT STONE: First of all,we have to talk about this catering situation you have set up. There’s literally no Canadian representation present.
ABBY BLAKE: I think that's a comment for Dane, or Carmen, or the suggestion box with what you'd like to eat…
Matt Stone: So they can just tell you? I prefer to cut out the middle man.
He hesitates for a second before following up.
MATT STONE: Besides, we both know the suggestion box is just going to be looked at by Blondie Smith and tossed away.
ABBY BLAKE: Was there a second of all on your list?
He smiles at that question, pulling out his phone from his pocket.
MATT STONE: How much time do ya got? Kidding, you’ve got all day for me, I know. Next item on the agenda, crazy people with chairs wandering the halls. What’s up with that?
ABBY BLAKE: If you're talking about Rayven Hardy, Matt Seinfeld, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Don't upset her, she won't want to smack you with a chair.
MATT STONE: I can’t help who’s jealous of me. I talked to Rina already about getting a security detail, do you have an update on that?
ABBY BLAKE: I'll get back to you on that one.
MATT STONE: Uh huh, uh huh…
He takes a seat beside her now on the bench, scrolling through his notes on his phone.
MATT STONE: Okay, this next one may sound kinda sketch but you gotta stay with me, what if I go on last next show? I know there’s a title match and yay for that but if we really wanna send the crowd home happy, I think seeing me beat Rayven would do that.
Abby pulled a shocked face hearing that.
ABBY BLAKE: So undermine the first title defense in the company’s history by not putting that as the headline? Wow. Gee. Imagine that.
MATT STONE: Well I thought it was a good idea…okay, what can you help me with then?
ABBY BLAKE: Is that everything on your list first of all?
Matt looks down at his phone, reading off some of the points he’s listed down for discussion
MATT STONE: Let’s see…not enough shows named after me…don’t have my own locker room…Scotty eats his food too loudly…fans have disrespectful signs about me…
ABBY BLAKE: I'll make sure to look into it when I'm a little more dressed to address them. I'll make sure Roderick has security posted to keep your things safe in the shared changing room - now do you mind if I get back to my workout?
Matt just looks at her for a second, getting the feeling that he’s not going to get much else out of this exchange and just sighs.
MATT STONE: Yeah, fine, I guess so You might wanna add more weight to those dumbbells though.
He points out before heading back the way he came, likely to find someone else to complain to.
(Scene End) SEGMENT: ‘ANOTHER’
INT: THE VENUE - BACKSTAGE AREA
SCOTTY LATIMER made his way through the backstage area. He pushed aside a guy with a headset as he made his way straight to Carmen.
SCOTTY LATIMER: Another.
Carmen turned to Latimer, gently leaning her head in while she was unsure what he meant.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: “Another”...?
SCOTTY LATIMER: Another Match.
She took a step back, and looked over at her employee before she shook her head.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: No, you’ve fought a hard match. If I send you out there again, against someone fresh - there’s not enough time on the show to fit one in - I appreciate your gusto, Mr. Latimer but it’s not tenable tonight. I’ll make sure you’re on the next one.
SCOTTY LATIMER: Carmen. I’m one win away, tied with Stone, another. I’ll put ‘em down in five minutes.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: I’ll hold you to that time limit, Mr. Latimer.
Carmen said as she saw a member of staff trying to wave the GM down.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: For your match - next show.
She departed from the conversation and onto the next ‘fire’ - leaving Scotty to hear a slow clap.
MATT STONE: Bravo, Latimer. Here we are yet again both a step away from championship contention YET when this tightly run show ends I’ll be a contender and you’ll be playing catch-up.
Matt put on his shades before his head darted back and forth as a metal clang was faintly heard.
MATT STONE: Did you hear that? It sounded like a steel chair being picked up? She’s armed.
SCOTTY LATIMER: You have five seconds before I do something unspeakable with those shades that’ll make walking to the ring very uncomfortable.
MATT STONE: I’d best be going, didn’t pay attention to what you just said so my exit has nothing to do with that or the fact you’ve got a face like…well a Scotty Latimer face. Ciao for now, Latimer.
Matt then left Latimer with his last comment heard
MATT STONE: Has anyone seen that security I was promised? Kinda need it now - urgently? Anyone?
SEGMENT: 'QUICK SPOT’
INT: THE VENUE - BACKSTAGE AREA
KIDD DUDLEY is standing backstage with interviewer JESSICA CARTER. She's dressed in a gorgeous ensemble from her own line while Kidd is dressed to compete, with a black jacket for the entrance.
JESSICA CARTER: We are moments away from the Tenacity Newbies, Marina Marston and Kidd Dudley squaring off. Don't mind me casually giving you two a tag team name, just a little pastime of mine. Got any pre-match jitters?
KIDD DUDLEY: Actually, I've got a question for you.
JESSICA CARTER: Flipping the script! I'm supposed to be interviewing you hear - luckily I don't mind fielding a few questions myself. Shoot.
Raion took a moment to really let what happened sink in. His eye closed briefly as he sighed.
KIDD DUDLEY: Since you defeated Marina recently. Got any last minute tips for me to get on this leaderboard?
Hardy pauses, taking a moment to let everything sink in. The fans were hanging on her every word as she continued.
JESSICA CARTER: You’re right. I’d say you really have to look out for her strikes. You don’t want to be hit by her finish - I’d have been KO’d and just now woken up if she’d have got me with that - and let’s see..
Jessica took a moment to think,
JESSICA CARTER: And you need to hit a Show Stealer to put her away - that’s what worked for me.
KIDD DUDLEY: Gee Jess. I don’t really hit big high-fly moves like that. I’ll keep it in mind - let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. Thanks for the advice, though.
JESSICA CARTER: If I may reflip the script back - we do have a title match tonight. Who are you hoping to see win - Kendrick Kross.
Boos are immediately heard which both stars pause for.
JESSICA CARTER: Or Victoria Salinas?
In contrast - the champion gets a decent sized pop from the crowd.
KIDD DUDLEY: Easy answer. Victoria Salinas. After what Kendrick Kross did to the champion at show six I’d rather see this company represented by a champion than a thug. Salinas - win it and then in a few shows I plan on stepping up and giving you an even greater challenge than Kross could ever provide tonight. It’s Vicky Sal all the way, Jess
JESSICA CARTER: I have an interview later with her - I love that nickname. I’ll have to casually drop it in. This has been Jessica Carter with Kidd Dudley who’ll be in action shortly. Kidd - best of luck tonight - but as the girl next in line - I’m just going to remind you..
Midway through her speech Jessica offered a handshake. Kidd accepted and she held on.
JESSICA CARTER: You better give me that match if it’s I who dethrones Victoria. I also voted for Vicky Sals.
Jess released the handshake, which Kidd Dudley acknowledged she could very well be a future opponent.
KIDD DUDLEY: Understood. If it’s you, I’ll see you in the ring for a 5 star classic Jess. Good luck interviewing the champ as well.
CUT TO: JESSICA CARTER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
JESSICA CARTER: I like that guy. Indeed I do.

SEGMENT: '’SECURITY”
INT: THE VENUE - HALLWAY
MATT STONE is filmed walking down the hallway to the changing room as a member of staff excitedly leaves a sticky note reading Matt Stone - RE: Security. Stone, curiously and cautiously, entered the changing room.
CUT TO INT: THE VENUE - CHANGING ROOM
Inside the changing room, Matt saw a 4” plush stuffed toy dressed up like a security standing against the locker which Matt had been assigned with an Abby Blake sticker.
CLANG
Matt stood up straight with a wide eyed look.
MATT STONE: Oh damn - she’s here.
He slowly turned around, hands up to protect his face and only saw Kidd Dudley behind him who’d just closed his locker casually.
KIDD DUDLEY: You okay there, bud? If you’re practicing for the eclipse you're several days too late.
MATT STONE: Several days too late? I’m well aware when the eclipse was, Kid Moe. In case you hadn’t noticed.
KIDD DUDLEY: You collect these little toys?
Kidd said taking the toy Matt had hanging from his finger by the string on it’s back.
MATT STONE: No. What? No, that's not even mine. If anything I collect tailored suits which are arranged alphabetically by the designer’s surname - like my tag partner does with her handbags and shoes. Then my Simpsons comic book collection is in the wall safe. I’m making sure I don’t get cut by Rayven Hardy. The chair wielding maniac.
KIDD DUDLEY: She ain’t scary. Last show she practically was joined at my hip telling me how to beat you.
Neither of them notice Marina Marston come in to grab her lip balm she’d left in her locker.
MATT STONE: And look how that worked out for you.
KIDD DUDLEY: I wasn’t too thrilled to lose my debut with some interference. I’ll beat you next time.
Marina pulled out her air pod as she noticed the little toy Kidd was holding.
MARINA MARSTON: That’s so cute.
KIDD DUDLEY: It’s yours.
He said passing it over to Marina.
MARINA MARSTON: Thank you - I mean it won’t make me go easy on you later but I appreciate it. I’ve kinda been looking for this to add to my collection. Seven out of eight now. Again, I appreciate it.
KIDD DUDLEY: It’s nothing. Don’t expect you to be going easy out there too - I know you’re going to be solid competition out there-
MATT STONE: Can you two Quit Vibing for a second - I’m up next so I’d rather get ready without Mommy Bear and Daddy Bear and Baby Bear here while Goldilocks out there is coming for something a lot thicker than porridge - blood. Can you two just.
Matt makes a shoo motion to them.
MARINA MARSTON: Let’s get out of here.
KIDD DUDLEY: Yeah, suddenly this changing room isn’t just right.
Matt is then left alone, securing the door lock as he got out his speaker.
MATT STONE: Alexa - Play my Get Ready to Defeat Rayven Hardy Mix.
Abs did a very coy “shucks” gesture.
ALEXA: I’m having trouble connecting to the internet. Take a look at the help section in your Alexa App.
MATT STONE: Et Tu, Amazon?
(Scene End)
SEGMENT: 'POKES, SMIRKS, AND W’S”
We head backstage where Rayven Hardy was stretching in preparation for her match against Matt Stone when Kendrick Kross walks by a stops upon seeing Rayven.
KENDRICK KROSS: Yo Ray.
Rayven looks up from stretching to see the champion contender looking down at her.
RAYVEN HARDY: What’s up?
Rayven was wearing golden gear with a black and golden t-shirt Rayven y-shirt, brand new to the Tenacity shop.
RAYVEN HARDY: Shouldn’t you be getting ready for your big match?
Kendrick shakes his head and chuckles a bit at the question.
KENDRICK KROSS: Ray, I’m already prepared for it, hell I’m the only one in this company worth holding that title, it’s you that should be worried about your match.
Kendrick kept his eye on Rayven as she stood up from stretching and rolled her eyes a bit.
KENDRICK KROSS: You are trying to get a W that I honestly need you to get, because who wants Matt Stone to even get a chance at what will be my title?
Kendrick has his new Kendrick Kross shirt on with his black jeans.
KENDRICK KROSS: Though, I honestly question if you can get the W.
RAYVEN HARDY: Excuse me? You question if I can get the win?
Rayven raised an eyebrow.
RAYVEN HARDY: You know what? I get it. It’s been awhile since I’ve been in the ring for a full match and admittedly, someone like Matt Stone is a tough challenge. I know it could turn into an uphill battle, but ask yourself this. Does ANYONE want to hear what he says if he gets his third win and puts himself in contention for a championship match?
The two of them shared a smirk.
RAYVEN HARDY: That’s what I thought. His head is big enough as it is, he doesn’t need anything else ramping up that ego. So tonight? I’ll prove the doubters, including you…
She poked his chest with an index finger.
RAYVEN HARDY: Wrong. And I’ll walk out with my first win here in Tenacity.
KENDRICK KROSS: You know, you have a point there. No one wants to see his head get any bigger, I’ll give you that much. I sure hope you can walk out with your first W. Because we both know I already am walking out of tonight Champion.
Kendrick looked at his chest where she poked him and smirked.
KENDRICK KROSS: I know that deep inside you don’t want me to be champion, because well once I get that title no one, including you.
Kendrick now poked Rayven back.
KENDRICK KROSS: Will take the title from me. I wasn’t the first to three wins out of chance. Victoria was hoping she wouldn’t see me on the opposite side of the card and her defending it this show after I kicked her ass on the last one. Could’ve ended her career if I truly wanted to but then I wouldn’t get the satisfaction of making sure I take the title away from her.
Kendrick flashed smile at Rayven
KENDRICK KROSS: You better get the W Rayven. We don’t want to see you become a failure once again do we?
Rayven’s expression turned from playful to irritated now as her cheeks flush. She went to step forward and approach Kendrick more directly when a backstage crew member walked by and Kendrick nodded to them.
RAYVEN HARDY: Time and place, Ray.
She mutters to herself under her breath before looking back up at Kendrick.
RAYVEN HARDY: Either way, good luck out there. Who knows? Maybe you will win that championship and maybe after a few shows? It’s me standing on the opposite side of the ring. Now, if you will excuse me.
Kendrick grabs her arm before she walks away and looks into her eyes.
KENDRICK KROSS: Even if you do get there, you won’t get the title from me after I win it tonight.
Kendrick let go of her arm as she walked off leaving him with a smirk on his face.
(Scene End)
'MATCH #2' 'SHUT THE CHAIR AND FIGHT' MATT STONE Vs RAYVEN HARDY
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
Rayven Hardy stood ready to lock up with Matt, but he kept his distance. Matt Stone asked the official to inspect Rayven for any hidden weapons on her person or around the ring. The delay ended when Rayven got a wicked hard slap to Matt but she then took a battering ram style elbow to the mid-section. Hardy stumbled away and got hit by Matt Stone landing a monkey flip. He found it amusing how Hardy had a little bounce when she landed - so he did spam the move for his own amusement.
Rayven did counter the move, letting Matt hit the floor as she hit some ground and pound forearms forcing Matt to cover up. Stone then took some shots to the gut, so he alternated between face and body. Rayven got off to avoid a DQ, only to walk into a snap exploder suplex by Matt Stone, who then targeted Rayven’s back with some ground moves. When he posed atop of Rayven, using her as a platform, Rayven turned over and hit a straight boot that caught Matt right in the mush. Matt recoiled to the corner and Rayven flew into the air, crashing into Matt with a back to belly body avalanche, following up with then locked in a sleeper hold but Matt Stone was able to fling her over his shoulder by both arms. Matt went for a clothesline, missing the shorter opponent who struck with a back kick.
Rayven looked like she was going for a bulldog but Matt placed her on the top rope and took some further shots to the back. Initially it looked like Matt would try a back superplex, Rayven got him in a headlock and punched him too many times for him to proceed with that. Just as Rayven was preparing to stand up, Matt came by like an NBA star, reaching up for the hair and pulled Rayven down, straight into a dreaded tree of woe.
CUT TO: MILLIE SMITH TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MILLIE SMITH (WORRIED): Eep.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Matt kept Rayven in the position for several moments, stomping on Rayven, talking down to her, and finally a springboard spin kick - stealing a move from Rayven. Hardy fell down into a heap while Matt Stone encouraged the fans to get The Miracle to stand up. The fans did and Matt ran into Rayven, clothesline in the corner - BUT RAYVEN struck immediately with an STO, and both stars were down on the mat. Hardy felt her chin after the clothesline while Stone held the back of his head. It was Rayven who broke the 10 count and performed a running scissor kick to Matt Stone once, twice, before she landed a running dropkick to a downed Stone.
Matt managed to kick out of her pin, so she did another dropkick and tried again. No good either. She resorted to another scissor kick while Matt was trying to get his bearings, this time causing him to senton onto his back, but Rayven couldn’t secure her first win with it.
CUT TO: KENDRICK KROSS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
KENDRICK KROSS: She’s gotta do better than that if she wants to end up facing me for the title.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Hardy got Matt into the corner for the 10 count punch, hitting an extra one for an eleven count, threw Stone down to the floor and looked for the skittle star press. Just as she flew, Matt rolled - and Hardy was able to correct the course and land on her feet, briefly fell to a knee, but got back up. Stone came by with a sliding gut punch, celebrating the hit with a fist pump, only to be hit by a flexible back kick by Hardy, who ran on her fury. She dropped Stone with a big flying forearm, then a running knee and followed up with a running hurricanrana for two! Stone sat up to pin Hardy for a 2, and she burst out. Stone actually beat Hardy this time to a vertical base, faked looking to the crowd and covered up as if someone was gonna hurl something. Hardy looked over, had a hand up to protect herself from the projectile but it was all a Stone ploy - straight into the school boy and hooked the golden trunks! Roscoe saw it and Matt rolled his eyes. Hardy quickly adjusted her shorts up, but left herself open to the superkick by Stone. Stone reprimanded her that she should have kept her arm up while he performed his combo breaker finisher on Hardy - earning boos from the crowd of how he took advantage of the slight wardrobe situation one could argue he created - perhaps an improv contingency plan to secure his third and final win.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING
In the ring, Aubrey Williams stepped in while referee Boscoe raised Latimer’s hand up..
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen…Here is your winner, and officially a contender for the Tenacity Grand Championship …. Matt Stone!
Rayven was trying to plead her case to the official that he’d tried to cheat with the tights and then took advantage of it. Matt would call himself a genius to the crowd who booed his end game plan, but they fell on deaf ears as Matt Stone clasped both hands together and shook them either side to celebrate his win. Matt Stone started to leave, and as soon as he crossed the threshold to the ramp - Rayven Hardy was heard on the microphone.
RAYVEN HARDY (TICKED OFF): Congrats Matt - You proved me right. You proved you couldn’t beat me after that stunt.
Matt responded, which Rayven was able to hear.
RAYVEN HARDY: “It doesn’t matter - you’re a contender now”? You couldn’t be more wrong, Moron. You ruined my debut, you ruined this match - so while I climb the ladder I’m making this promise to you. We got all these fans as witnesses. You want to ruin everything? Well when you have your “well-deserved, “well-earned” title match - I’m going to personally make sure you go to the back of the line.
Rayven said and started to get Matt’s attention as his pace up the ramp got slower and slower.
RAYVEN HARDY (TICKED OFF): That’s right. It doesn’t matter if you ‘won’ here. I’m going to be keeping my eye on you, Matty. I’m going to make sure your dream of becoming a Grand Champion in Tenacity stays a dream, you hear me?
Matt, now at the stage, took that threat a little more seriously and held up three fingers to tally his wins and a fist to tally Rayven’s wins before he then started to head backstage once Rayven dropped the mic and got between the ropes.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MATT STONE: Wacko…
Matt said, whistling while spinning his finger beside his head.
CUT TO: KENDRICK KROSS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
KENDRICK KROSS: I guess I don’t have to worry about him when I’m champion tonight. Besides, my first opponent is gonna be Jessie Carter - and there ain’t nothing not to like about that situation…
(Scene End)
SEGMENT: '’ARRIVAL”
EXT: THE VENUE - PARKING LOT
The crowd pop once VICTORIA SALINAS stepped outside from her car. She paid the driver and then began walking her way into the arena with the sunset behind her as a lovely backdrop.
CUT TO INT: THE VENUE - HALLWAY
The champion walked with purpose with the camera in front of her until she came to an abrupt halt. She noticed somebody and that was none other than DANIELLE PAGE.
VICTORIA SALINAS: I think you have to have a backstage pass to be back here FYI.
This comment made Danielle’s jaw drop and hand rest upon her chest to truly emphasize how insulted she felt.
DANIELLE PAGE: How dare you. “FYI” FYI the Diamond Princess has just arrived in Tenacity Wrestling. I’ve come here to collect this company’s richest prize for the richest woman on the roster - that’s me. If it wasn’t for that title belt I’d have confused you for a fan sneaking backstage “FYI”. Now I’d like to hear an apology.
Victoria just turned her attention back to getting herself to the changing room in order to get ready for her title match.
DANIELLE PAGE: (Getting Fainter / Growing Frustrated) You don’t walk away - I haven’t dismissed you. Come Back Here!
VICTORIA SALINAS: (TO HERSELF) Yeah no time for that right now..
The champion continued before turning the corner and came face to face with her opponent-’s poster. Not official as it featured Kendrick with the Grand title.
CUT TO: KENDRICK KROSS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
Backstage Kendrick unrolled the exact same poster and he himself would look back at it frequently while talking.
KENDRICK KROSS: In the interest of being prepared - these are gonna fly off the merch tables - I had the hot quiet girl draft one of these up - with a lot of micromanagement from me - but look how good these look. So I put a few up around the backstage to remind everybody of the new reign coming tonight.
CUT TO INT: THE VENUE - HALLWAY Victoria stands in front of it with several cruel intentions crossing through her head. DANE MITCHELL comes by and is stopped by the exact same poster.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Dane. Hand me that pen in your front pocket.

'MATCH #3' 'YOUNG LUCHA' KIDD DUDLEY Vs MARINA MARSTON
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
The friendly match up between these started with a handshake from Kidd, with Marina shaking it but then held on, creating a certain crowd reaction, then let go and they circled the ring. The experience was on Dudley’s side as he was able to get Marina into a few holds, and when she got the ropes, the wrestling gentlemen broke on one - reminding the crowd he always breaks on one.
The second lock up was all Kidd but ended with Marina getting a big arm drag which she covered her mouth in shock at. Marina stayed on Kidd with a wrenching headlock and she held onto it twice as he tried to push her off, though Kidd would impress the crowd by spinning Marina around - she kept her hands in place, but she was spun around his shoulders until she became dizzy and broke her hold. Kidd let Marina down instead of letting her fly off and she managed to keep her balance - however Marston would be hip tossed, taking a kick to the back in mid-air and landed, clutching her back
(REACTION)
Marina remained on the back foot with Kidd performing the four limb stomp, a deadlift suplex, and a two-count after Kidd caught her on the rebound with a lungblower. Marina’s headscissors took Kidd down to reverse a sidewalk slam, and Marina would perform a wheelbarrow bulldog to stun Kidd enough for her to perform the slingshot leg drop, but she couldn’t put him away.
The 5’2” New York born star tried to put away Kidd with Life on Mars - only for Kidd to burst out. Marina hit the ropes and went for a crossbody - Kidd backflipped to mat slam Marina into the ring mat, hooked the leg and Marina was able to kick out but the wind had been slammed out of her sails. This was where Marina took a wing stunner, but nearly put Marina away when the blonde boy performed an inverted suplex clutch, bounced Marina off the ropes and hit the inverted DDT for a close call.
CUT TO: MARINA MARSTON TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MARINA MARSTON: A lot of blood rushed to my head so I don’t remember him hitting that - did he? You with the croissant - did he?
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Marina managed to avoid a corner superplex, knocking Kidd back down and decided to fly off, connecting with a hurricanrana - NO! Kidd let Marina backflip onto her feet and struck with a big european uppercut. He pulled Marina back - airplane spin for enough 360 degree spins to hit 3900 - ending with a death valley driver - only Marina got her foot on the rope at the very last second.
Kidd on his knees gave a nod of respect for the ring awareness before he tried to put away Marina with a Trap Card (Yes-Lock) submission. Marina refused to tap out though she couldn’t hide the pain she was in, yet managed to grab the ropes. Kidd, of course, released on one with the crowd chanting “One”. Marina then caught her own pop as Kidd went for a spinning back elbow, using that momentum to back suplex Kidd and rolled out to the ring apron. Marston landed a senton back into the ring - and then hit the ropes, connecting with a swinging neckbreaker on the rebound.
Marina tried to put Kidd away with her jawbreaker but Kidd rolled underneath her. Marina couldn’t get the speed to hit it, so she went for a roundhouse kick, Dudley ducked it. She went for a straight kick but Dudley blocked it. She tried a standing bicycle kick and Dudley dipped to the right to avoid it. Marina, now in very close range went for a hip attack to the kneeling Kidd Dudley, but he ducked underneath and picked Marina up. Marina, shocked by it nearly took a facebuster but caught the ropes on the way down, seeing her face come an inch to the mat before she came back up. Kidd Dudley pulled her off the ropes with a feat of strength for a roll up - only for her to push him into the ropes. Kidd bounced off and performed a rolling senton - impressively caught by Marina so she could bridge up, spin Kidd and herself around and Marina called for a Canadian destroyer. The fans got to their feet as Marina went for it, but Kidd caught her in the fireman’s carry - steamroller into the Latveria Lock!
CUT TO: KIDD DUDLEY TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
KIDD DUDLEY: Lads and Lady Director I’ll be honest I thought I had her there. She went for that piledriver and it was instinct - changed the tone of the bout even if it didn’t get the win.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Marina rolled out to feel her back, the hold had dealt some lasting damage but Kidd Dudley gave her the space as she held the bottom rope. Marina rolled in at 6, and came at Kidd with a lock up - fakeout - landing the forearm to rock Kidd back. Two more shots and a kick to the knee lowers Kidd for Marina to go for a hurricanrana driver? Marina hit the ropes and Kidd stood up just as Marina leaped at him. Buckle bomb for Marina by the strong boy and Marina is then forced to forward roll into the middle of the ring where Kidd Dudley locked in the Mendoza Lock. Marina makes the wise decision to tap as she struggled to make any ground this deep into the match to avoid any injury, giving the victory to Kidd who broke as soon as the official called for the bell.
CUT TO: RINGSIDE
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of this match! Kidd Dudley!
Kidd helped Marina from the mat, and the two shook hands again. This time Kidd held on and raising her arm in the ring to the crowd.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MATT STONE: Huh. Kid Moe won.
CUT TO: MARINA MARSTON TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
Marina Marston is seen backstage with a heat pad on her back.
MARINA MARSTON: It’s okay. You have to break a few eggs, I did what I could - next time we face off I’ll have every second of this match memorized and I’ll get the win back. Just you wait.

SEGMENT: 'CHAMPIONSHIP’
INT: THE VENUE - INTERVIEW AREA
In the interview area we find JESSICA CARTER with VICTORIA SALINAS dressed to fight and the Grand Title on her right shoulder.
JESSICA CARTER: This is a first. The Champion being interviewed by a contender but I’m a woman of firsts speaking to the first grand champion in her first title defense with Victoria Salinas.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Thank you Jess.I appreciate your comments on social media about me too.
JESSICA CARTER: I meant it too. But somebody you might not appreciate is your opponent tonight. I’m talking about Kendrick. You’ve already said how you feel about his count out victory over you - but there is some doubt in the fanbase that you can defeat him. What have you got to say to those fans in particular?
VICTORIA SALINAS: Nothing. Absolutely nothing, Jessica - because I’ll let my talent do all the talking for me.
JESSICA CARTER: Vicky Sals coming back hot.
VICTORIA SALINAS: (IMMEDIATELY SHUTTING DOWN THE NICKNAME) No.
A second of dead-air passes before Jessica recovers.
JESSICA CARTER: You’re right, Grand Champion coming in hot seems way better. That’s a good way to put it.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Not to disrespect you, Jessica - but let me jump this interview forward to a key question. After tonight you’re facing the champion. After tonight your face the Grand Champion of this company.
JESSICA CARTER: And the question is - do I have what it takes? My answer just so happens to rhyme with my nickname Jess.
VICTORIA SALINAS: That’s not the question.
The crowd murmurs - some Jess stans add a little boo in there.
VICTORIA SALINAS: The question I wanted to ask because I know you’ll be watching. My question is do you still want to face the champion after what you’re going to witness - if that answer also rhymes with your nickname well.
The champion looked the challenger over and slightly turned; ready to make her exit.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Then you better start preparing - this title is going nowhere.

'MATCH #4' '1st Title Defense' Tenacity Wrestling Grand Championship KENDRICK KROSS Vs VICTORIA SALINAS
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING Boscoe immediately called for some medics to come check Kendrick’s damage, giving the
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following match is scheduled for only one fall and is for the Tenacity Wrestling Grand Championship! Introducing first the challenger. He weighed in tonight at 209 lbs from Los Angeles, California - Kendrick Kross!
Kendrick Kross gives Aubrey an inaudible compliment before he soaks in the crowd reaction.
AUBREY WILLIAMS: And his opponent. The inaugural Tenacity Grand Champion…she weighed in tonight at 131 lbs and hails from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Victoriaaaa Salllliiinas!
Victoria gets right in Kendrick’s face with the title reminding him who’s the champion with Kendrick repeating the phrase “show me my title” to her.
After the official handed the title off to Aubrey to hold ringside, Victoria and Kendrick Kross battled with an exchange of punches, the champion having some extra sauce/venom behind hers and knocked Kendrick down, only the challenger making the claim she poked him in the eye. Kendrick had ample recovery time and Salinas watched her strikes, locking up with Kendrick shoving her into the ropes and landing a back elbow before he cackled down at the champion. Victoria got up quick, sidestepped the oncoming boot and hit a back elbow to stun Kross - with the champion going for a springboard clothesline - caught by the challenger - exploder snap suplex into the corner!
CUT TO: MARINA MARSTON TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MARINA MARSTON: Of course I watched this one. I could face either one of them in the near future with the strap on the line. My pretty eyes were glued to the screen and when Kendrick shot her into the corner like that - let’s just say it wasn’t pretty.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) To say Kendrick let the champion get up would be a big fat lie, grinding his heel into her lower back, stomping on her fingers - adding a nasty comment to sell how she’d poked him in the eye, and pulled her out the ring and let her land on her back. The fans know he can’t win by count out but Kendrick did a fast 10 count - in reality it was 5, but reminded Victoria he beat her so bad she couldn’t get back into the ring. The champion tried to fight back, driving Kendrick into the ring apron and then actually got poked in the eye by the contender.
Kendrick grabbed Salinas and threw her face first into the apron before sending her back in the ring. Kross slid back in and tried to put her away with a simple cover, she kicked out. A double leg cover, and Salinas kicked out again, lastly a rather cradle like cover but Salinas proved she wasn’t done.
Kendrick went back to Salina’s knee from the last show, slamming it into the mat before the contender rested his knee behind her leg and pulled back, Salinas let out some hard to hear guttural screams of pain - but got an arm over Kendrick - his shoulders were down and she scored a two count. Kendrick broke the hold and stood up, calling the champ a few names and choked her on the ropes while telling the teen Salinas fan in the front row to take a picture of the champ and the former champ.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MATT STONE: Well - I was gonna do that when I challenged but Kendrick stole it - did any of you see him riffling through a notebook. Matt Stone’s declassified guide to becoming the grand champion written on the front? No?
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Salinas found a small window when Kendrick attempted a pele kick, judged the spacing perfectly and turned it into a tombstone piledriver-like counter. Kendrick saw stars, but it allowed Victoria a chance to get her own back. She started with a couple stomps on Kendrick’s ankle, a knee slam like she’d suffered, then one over the ring apron before a leg drop on the ankle on the apron let her get to the top rope. Salinas flew off with a bulldog, spiking Kendrick into the mat - only for the contender to kick out. She issued a big one hand slap to the chest, one to the back and then applied the camel clutch!
Kendrick refused to tap, took a couple forearms and bicep clubs from Victoria who broke the hold to get some of those hits in. Kendrick found his footing and started to try escape - the champion released the hold, dropkicked the ankle which made Kendrick collapse to the mat. Salinas started to try lock in the cloverleaf but Kendrick punched her away. Kross got himself up and booted Salinas in the gut, pulled her in for a piledriver - but the champ pushed off the contender’s thighs and flipped onto her feet. Back kick to the back of the head! Salinas kept Kendrick sat up, hit the ropes - BUSAIKU KNEE to the back of the head! ONE TWO - NO!
CUT TO: KIDD DUDLEY TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
KIDD DUDLEY: That was damn close. Bashed him in the back of the head like that. I’m honestly surprised he hung on there.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Kross wasn’t down and out so Salinas performed a standing roundhouse – caught and an elbow got driven into the knee. Salinas hobbled away but got her legs kicked out from under her! Kendrick backed into the ropes…CURB STOMP!! NO Salinas pushed up and slipped out from under Kendrick’s foot, Kross got caught with a jumping neckbreaker BUT as Salinas tries to cradle, he locks her legs! Champs got two shoulders down - contender has one…one…two…thre-NO! Champion slips out in the split-hair of a second.
Both stars are down, catching their breath and Salinas is reeling from that cradle - she pulled up with the ropes assisting, measured for the knee again, LARIAT by Kendrick who launched himself from his knees! The contender clutched his ankle and the delay resulted in Kendrick getting a two count on a lariat that turned the champ inside out.
Kross angrily pulled the champion up and elevated her up into a powerbomb, walking to the corner, he drops and facebuster for Salinas! The champion is hung up solely by the ropes and Kendrick rebounded out the opposite corner - double knee press…straight into a back suplex lift - reverse cutter but the pinfall ends with Victoria getting a foot on the rope.
CUT TO: SCOTTY LATIMER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
SCOTTY LATIMER: (EXHALING LOUDLY BEFORE SPEAKING) I thought she’d lost then. Great ring awareness. Game recognized game.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Kross measured the champion for the curb stomp, running the full hypotenuse of the ring and ended up being lifted by Salinas over - all that momentum left him to crash and burn outside. Salinas took to the top rope and had the crowd on her feet as the champion landed a top rope moonsault TO THE OUTSIDE!
CUT TO: MARINA MARSTON TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
Marina is just filmed with her jaw dropped, looking at the crew lost for words and her hands inadvertently making a ‘mind blown’ gesture.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Salinas managed to get him back in the ring and delivered the running knee to the cheek bone. Kross was laid out and Salinas made a cover - only Kross kicked out but that’s okay (from Salinas’ POV) as she locked in a headscissors choke hold, with the dazed Kross being worn down. He tried to crawl to the ring ropes, every second he grew sluggish and started to lose steam. Referee Boscoe raised his arm once he appeared out cold and it dropped. Kross’ arm was checked again with the contender holing on at the bottom, managing to get a second wind and got the ring ropes.
As Salinas was frustrated she didn’t get the submission win, she pulled herself up and pulled down her knee pad, connecting with a busaiku knee on Kendrick! NO! Kross caught her by the waist - SIDEWALK slam right near the ropes gave Kendrick an opening. He rolled out with Salinas and introduced her to the steel steps on one side of the ring, then those on the opposite side. Kross sent her back first into the ring apron and followed up with a slam onto the ring apron - pushing the champion into the ring - and went for a springboard move - champion kipped up and landed a dropkick to Kendrick in mid-air.
CUT TO: RAION KIDO TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
RAION KIDO: She had to come back there. Those steps are unforgiving.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Salinas beat the ten-count at eight before landing a big stomp to Kendrick’s back, telling the challenger to stay down. Another venomous stomp before she got an idea. The champion measured her challenger and decided to go for her own curb stomp, but the expert in the move ‘sixth-sensed’ her, standing fully up and pushed the champion into the air. Salinas landed on her feet but took a nasty kick to the knee that crumbled the champion. Kendrick got some speed and clapped back with the running knee to the champion. Kendrick locked in the submission hold, his Kross-Bar with the champion in trouble and nowhere near the ropes - it seemed to be all over for Salinas.
The champion had one option left and forced Kendrick into a pinning position, shoulders were down and Kendrick couldn’t break free without letting her go - doing so very late into the pinfall. Salinas held her arm as Kendrick came by looking for a nasty mafia kick - missed it, Salinas caught him with a neckbreaker to set up another top rope moonsault - except Kendrick met her there on the top rope. The challenger looked for a high angle back suplex but Salinas was able to turn in mid-air and land upon Kendrick - hooked the leg but the champion still escaped though he’d landed hard on the back of his head.
Salinas was able to keep him dazed with her yakuza kick and tied the bow on this match with Vanity Breaker, putting Kendrick away with a decisive three count.
CUT TO: RINGSIDE
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of this match! And STILL Tenacity Wrestling Grand Champion….Victoria Salinas!
Boscoe called for the bell and Victoria’s music began playing. Aubrey Williams presented the champion with her defended prize which she held above her head. It wasn’t too long before Jessica Carter stepped out from the back to applaud the champion and the two exchanged a small staredown when they locked eyes, as the show closed on Victoria Salinas atop of the ring in the corner, holding the title up to the crowd.
