Tenacity Wrestling - Show 6: Fighting Kendrick March 19th, 2024
SEGMENT: 'KENDRICKING INTO GEAR’
INT: THE VENUE - EARLIER IN THE DAY
The first person to arrive to the arena alongside several ring crew is none other than Kendrick Kross.
KENDRICK KROSS (VOICE-OVER): If you want to be the champion, you should set the example. As the soon-to-be locker room leader, I am setting the example by being the first member to arrive to the arena.
A shot shows Kendrick Kross supervising the ring crew as they load off the new guard rails from the truck.
KENDRICK KROSS (VOICE-OVER): I’m even putting time into setting the ring up, something I don’t believe Salinas has ever done since signing with Tenacity - but Kendrick Kross does.
A new shot shows Kendrick Kross refusing a delivery from a butcher, inaudible, but he has highlighted the fat content in a big red circle as unacceptable.
KENDRICK KROSS (VOICE-OVER): I’m even looking out for my fellow wrestlers, sending away fatty meats and instead getting some lean, high protein ingredients. I’m sure they’ll all appreciate it..
Dane Mitchell arrived, removed his air pods and began looking through the bags for the meat he’d actually ordered.
Kendrick Kross is then filmed trying to decide which tights he’s going to wear, tipping the staff member for collecting them for him.
KENDRICK KROSS (VOICE-OVER): Tonight we have an exhibition of what I can do and just how skewed the match is. All those Kendrick Kross haters betting against me actually get a chance to cancel their bets and wisely bet on the Winning Man.
CUT TO: KENDRICK KROSS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
In the backstage area, dressed to compete with his shirt wide open is Kendrick Kross looking at his phone. The voice-over his comments as he concluded with..
KENDRICK KROSS: Shame they won’t get the odds they have at the moment. Can you believe what they gave me? Tonight I guess I’ll have to show all these odd-makers why I’m the Winning Man.

INT: THE VENUE - BACKSTAGE AREA
We head backstage where we see the woman once known as 'The San Fran Miracle', former world champion RAYVEN HARDY!
Wearing pink and white gear and a smile that could light up a room, the 'birdie' looks directly into the camera, as if talking directly to all of her fans.
RAYVEN HARDY: It's been awhile, hasn't it guys?
Hardy pauses as the fans watching live on the screen were cheering. Rayven Hardy was once one of the top names in all of professional wrestling, but since the shut down of Liberty Pro, she's focused more on things away from the ring, like raising her young son Phoenix, and turned from the ring, to the influencing side of business.
RAYVEN HARDY: When I say I missed being in a ring, you have no idea how much I mean it. Wrestling is my first love. Before I could recite the alphabet, I could recognize my favorite wrestlers on TV. I would sit on my dad's lap and I would smile for the people I liked and I would cry and scream when someone came on that I didn't like. Dig a little deeper, and I come from a family of wrestlers. My uncle, who you guys know better as my adoptive dad, Robb Hardy. My brother Junior. My adoptive mom, the list really goes on and on. I was truly born to wrestle and tonight? I'm wrestling again. And....I really couldn't be happier.
Hardy pauses, taking a moment to let everything sink in. The fans were hanging on her every word as she continued.
RAYVEN HARDY: I also couldn't be more appreciative because you guys never let me forget who I was, or what I was put here to do. There hasn't been a day that's gone by where someone hasn't DM'd me on social media, asking 'Ray, when are you coming back?', or 'Ray, when's the next match?'. I wanted to come back sooner, but I was raising my son. Most of you know, I'm a mom and my son is still very young, so I took time off when Liberty closed to be there for him. And professionally, I had to find the right fit. I knew when it felt right, I'd be back and Miami...it feels right.
The fans cheer as Rayven smiles.
RAYVEN HARDY: Tenacity Wrestling is what feels right, so tonight? Rayven Hardy is back!
The fans began to chant 'Welcome back! Welcome back! Welcome back!' causing Hardy to pause to let them express themselves. The adrenaline was surging through her body, the goosebumps of hearing a crowd chant for her again? Magical.
RAYVEN HARDY: Thank you guys. I love all of you. And tonight, I'm going out there to put on a show and to make a statement. My opponent is no slouch. Look at his accomplishments, he's done some amazing things, and I would never slight him. There's a good chance that he could come out with his hand raised tonight. He's wrestled more than I have recently, and again, the guy is a warrior....BUT....
Rayven gets a sly smirk on her face.
RAYVEN HARDY: Raion...if you think I'm going to make it easy for you? You've got another thing coming. Like I said, maybe Raion SHOULD win this match, maybe...it's expected. I need to work the rust off a bit, right? Sure...but maybe, just maybe....there's a...I don't know? Miracle in me still....
The fans erupt at the reference to her first ever in-ring nickname which came about after she debuted in a promotion in her first ever professional match to accept an open challenge and win a World Championship.
RAYVEN HARDY: I hope you're all ready, because this little birdie is back to flying.

'MATCH #1' 'THE DEBUT FOR ONE OF THESE TWO’ RAYVEN HARDY Vs RAION KIDO
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
The contest began with Raion and Rayven starting off with a showcase of technical escalating holds with some flexibility showcased on some reversals. Rayven gets floored by a discus clothesline she thought was a fake out and Kido impressed the crowd with a german suplex; deadlifting Ms. Miracle.
As Rayven regrouped outside, ever the gentleman Raion opened the ropes for Hardy to step through. The pair locked up and this time technical wrestling stepped up a gear as speed was on display. Rayven hipped out of a waistlock and rolled up Kido for a two count. Hardy was then able to monkey flip Kido, rolling with him and dealt a strong style slap which shocked the crowd and Kido who felt that sting on his cheek. Rayven pushed his arms down for a pin, only for Kido to hook her arms with his legs and flung Rayven down for a pin. Like Hardy, he got a two count as she burst out, then struck with a discus clothesline of her own - only Kido didn't go down but staggered to the ropes. Hardy was annoyed he didn't drop and met him with a dropkick, further dazing Kido who stayed on his feet.
CUT TO: RAYVEN HARDY TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
RAYVEN HARDY: I swear I put so much more behind that dropkick and he still stayed upright.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Kido, still up, walked off to the ropes going for a step up enziguri. Rayven ducks and boldly goes for a deadlift German of her own now! Kido is lifted up onto his feet and now it's he taking a page out of her book - hipped out and landed a sunset flip powerbomb. Rayven looked out of it but still managed to get her shoulder up before referee Boscoe counted the three.
Rayven wisely used the ropes to get up and went for a waistlock - schoolboy transitioned into a leaping snapmare; adding a stiff knee to the back and then a running dropkick to lay Kido out. Pleased with her downed opponent she signaled for the referee to count and got two but not three.
CUT TO: RAYVEN HARDY TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
RAYVEN HARDY: And then I didn’t get the win there? He looked out cold to me.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action)
Kido managed to get up but Rayven came flying off the second rope with a leg lariat and craved the audience to get up as she sensed the end of the match. Rayven stalked Kido for the sleeper hold but Kido slipped out and struck with a kick to the forehead. Rayven retreated to the ropes but got dragged into a German by Kido - STUCK THE LANDING and Rayven locked in the sleeper hold! Raion tried to break the grip then flailed his hands for the ropes yet Hardy kept a strong stance to keep him from any rope break.
Raion went for a last ditch save, jawbreaker! Rayven bounced off the ropes for a penalty kick to the back. DDT- No Hardy gets pushed off into the ropes again, she returns, ducks the clothesline and attempts a sleeper hold again. This time Kido grabbed both arms and flung Rayven over. Hardy got lifted up and ate the first turnbuckle. She tried to crawl away holding her nose but Kido landed that gut wrench powerbomb and it looked to be over until Rayven popped up the shoulder before referee Boscoe slapped the mat a third time.
CUT TO: RAION KIDO TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
RAION KIDO: Ms. Hardy proved her family name, hard to put away..
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Kido tried to finish this one with his finishing strike. Rayven saw him coming and countered into a backslide pin, transitioned into a shiny wizard knee! Kido rolled out the ring and spat blood immediately, the shot caught him very clean. The shot left him open to Rayven’s tope suicida and sent Kido into the barricade.
Rayven got her opponent back into the ring and looked like she was going to hit her finisher when Matt Stone’s music hit. Matt told Rayven to get down because he had his little contract he'd won from the second Tenacity show and explained to the crowd that it entitled him to a match against whoever he wanted, and he's using it to face Raion Kido.
The contract was presented to the official, and had both owners' signatures. Boscoe apologized to Rayven but had to ask her to leave the ring.
The official then called for the bell as the fresh Matt Stone caught a worn out Raion with two back to back stone cutters before he would finish the match with his piledriver while holding up the index finger towards Rayven to count the first win he had just earned towards a title match.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING
In the ring, Kendrick Kross signaled to Aubrey Williams to announce him the winner, wagging his finger at her when she started with the usual way to remind her how to announce him.
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen your winner of this match - Matt Stone!
Matt celebrated his win and reminded the audience of his second appearance, educating the crowd that would leave him with one more win to get before he would face Kendrick or Victoria one on one.
Matt tried to start a “Matt” chant but most fans gave him the stink eye for stealing Rayvens debut and match. Hardy made her way backstage.
CUT TO: VICTORIA SALINAS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
In the backstage area, dressed in what she arrived in is Victoria who pulls her eyes from the match to comment.
VICTORIA SALINAS: He snaked the win. When it is about wins, everybody is collecting them. Matt clearly don’t want to wait too long to get another shot at this Grand Championship.

SEGMENT: 'IT’S BEEN AWHILE’
INT: THE VENUE - BACKSTAGE AREA
Backstage we find Raion Kido walking through the curtain, getting handed a bottle of water and making his way down the hall - when he’s met with Tenacity’s Wrestler/Interviewer Jessica Carter.
JESSICA CARTER: Raion. Can I have a moment?
RAION KIDO: Of course, Mrs Carter.
JESSICA CARTER: We just saw you have a match with Matt Stone - who just took a win home and stole it from newcomer here in Teancity Rayven Hardy. What’s your reaction to all that?
Raion took a moment to really let what happened sink in. His eye closed briefly as he sighed.
RAION KIDO: I wish it could have gone better for her. She was against me, so in my head I didn’t picture her walking away with a victory - I just didn’t predict Matt Stone taking the win.
Hardy pauses, taking a moment to let everything sink in. The fans were hanging on her every word as she continued.
JESSICA CARTER: This does mean later tonight Matt Stone could secure a second win - as someone who’s currently in that position - not to brag - but does that not grind your gears that he may beat you to the punch to becoming Tenacity Grand Champion.
The fans cheer as Rayven smiles.
RAION KIDO: It does. I’m in no position to snake away a win from somebody, as Matt was. All I can do is see who I’m facing next, and collect the W as I planned to do tonight. Let’s not discredit our current champion Victoria. You know I have a strong gut feeling that she’ll face me with the title on the line, Mrs Carter.
The fans began to chant 'Welcome back! Welcome back! Welcome back!' causing Hardy to pause to let them express themselves. The adrenaline was surging through her body, the goosebumps of hearing a crowd chant for her again? Magical.
JESSICA CARTER: You think? Because I do have a match later on and if I’m lucky I may grab that third win so I can challenge for the title - I’d rather face Victoria too like you said - I’d rather limit my time against Kendrick as much as possible to be quite frank.
Rayven gets a sly smirk on her face.
RAION KIDO: Understandable. I expect you’ll have quite a match.
The fans erupt at the reference to her first ever in-ring nickname which came about after she debuted in a promotion in her first ever professional match to accept an open challenge and win a World Championship.
JESSICA CARTER: And who do you think will win? She won’t turn me into Jobberca?
RAION KIDO: I think you’ll have to show me and us all who’s the better woman in the ring.
CUT TO: VICTORIA SALINAS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
In the backstage area, dressed in a very stylish new spring outfit is the current champion wearing the title around her waist..
VICTORIA SALINAS: It’s Me.

MARINA MARSTON showed up as a very new signing, dressed casually with everything in her gym bag. She found who she was looking for in General Manager CARMEN ROJA-TORRES.
MARINA MARSTON: Carmen. Te Encontré. Thank you for squeezing me onto this show tonight.
Marina and Carmen started walking down the hall.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: De nada.
MARINA MARSTON: And Jess is going to be a great, class opponent. I wasn’t sure if you were going to reshuffle some things.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: I do my best to avoid that. With the roster growing, we shouldn’t need too much of that. As you’re new here, we operate on the three-win rule. Rack up three victories and we’ll see if you can handle the Grand Champion. Jess - she’s already racked up two so far - I’m expecting you to start getting on the ladder.
MARINA MARSTON: And on the ladder is where I’ll be going.
Carmen concluded with.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: Perfecto. We’re on the same page.
Before she stepped into her office and the door shut behind her. Marina had her mouth, curled her fingers first, then closed her mouth.
MARINA MARSTON: That was an okay first impression, Marina. She was just busy. Definitely. Yeah.
While she’s thinking out loud, she doesn’t seem to see Noah Leiffson walking in and noticing her.
MARINA MARSTON: We’re not going to let that get in my way. I’m new here - got a lot to prove - get on the ladder like she said.
Noah decided to back up and start to head in the opposite direction, leaving Marina to her process.
MARINA MARSTON: And we’ll hit it off with the next person here.
CUT TO: INT: THE VENUE - CATERING
Abby Blake appeared, stepping out of the conference room in a black dress attire for the event. Blake turned and almost walked into Tenacity’s new signing Kidd Dudley.
ABBY BLAKE: Sorry, nearly bumped you right there, I’m so glad you took up my offer to join here.
Kidd took a gentlemanly step back given the near collison.
KIDD DUDLEY: Same here. Although I did want to chat with you, thank you for the tip off about this place. I needed a new stomping ground, just never expected it to be run by Abby freaking Blake.
Abs did a very coy “shucks” gesture.
ABBY BLAKE: I shoot for the stars. I think Carmen gave you a really good choice for your debut. I’ll be watching.
KIDD DUDLEY: Yeah. He’s - something.
Dudley emphasized that last word with a look, to which Abby smirked - and agreed.
ABBY BLAKE: Quite.
KIDD DUDLEY: Looks like a challenge to me. Tag Team Champion. I gotta learn about everybody else here too. Dunno who you’re gonna throw me next - Carmen’s gonna throw me next.
Abby smirked again, specifically at the fact people were still getting used to the new hierarchy in the company.
ABBY BLAKE: Could be anybody. An OG. A newcomer.
It was clear Abby had two people she’d pick if she was to book.
KIDD DUDLEY: You?
But that comment made her snap out of fantasy booker mode. She didn’t answer and Kidd leaned in a little, calling back to Abby’s comment.
KIDD DUDLEY: Reaching for the stars myself.
Kidd Dudley straighted up to what many would call perfect posture. Blake walked by, remarking over her shoulder.
ABBY BLAKE: Let’s see how you do with Matt Stone first.

'MATCH #2' 'READY TO RESPECTFULLY RUMBLE' NOAH LEIFFSON Vs SCOTTY LATIMER
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
Noah treated Scotty as an apex competitor he had been training weeks for as soon as the bell rang. The giant took cautious steps and showed he'd watched plenty of matches. Scotty struggled to get an offense at the beginning and gave Noah a little clap for his efforts. Noah continued to show his work, capturing Scotty's dominant hand and whole arm before a chest cracking slap floored Latimer. Noah then landed the belly to back mat slam. Scotty got a boot into Noah's face in the corner. The Minnesota Monster staggered back, even falling to a knee. Latimer got to the second rope and threw caution to the wind with a flying senton to bowl over Noah. Latimer got back up, came off the ropes and hit a leg drop before the cover; only scoring one.
Latimer runs Noah into the corner but took a knee to the chin. Noah threw Scott back into the corner and drove his shoulder into his back as many times as the 4 count would allow. Scotty then got dropped on the top of his back with a high end back suplex, then stalked by Noah. Big Boot! No, Scotty directed it onto the top rope and hit a strong, echoing kick to Noah's other leg to chop him down.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MATT STONE: As someone who’s already collected my first win. I’d rather Latimer not be my first opponent. If I had to really pick who I’d like to have collected the three infinity wins, I’d probably pick Noah, bigger they fall.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action)
Scotty grabbed the leg and elbowed the inside of the knee over and over to try and make it harder for the big man to carry his weight. Latimer even attempted a sharpshooter but got pushed off. Noah almost got back up when a knee trembler caught him.
Noah’s couldn't come back from it and Latimer started working over the big man's back with stomps, elbow drops, and even a senton. Noah even got pulled into a camel's clutch and came close to tapping out, but…he locked eyes with his step-brother in the crowd. Leo rallied Noah on and the big man got up despite the pain. He threw Scotty over his shoulder and came off the ropes for a mafia boot with some serious venom on it.
CUT TO: LEO BROOKS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
LEO BROOKS: That one had to hurt. That one had to leave a serious lump on Scott afterwards.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Scotty managed to get back up after kicking out but walked right into a chokeslam clutch. Noah took two kicks but his grip never loosened. He picked Scotty up and slammed him back first, uttering something after the impact before resting on the ropes and holding his back. Latimer gets covered but Leifssen left too much time after hitting his finisher. Scotty then feels that grip around his throat and Noah impressively deadlifts Latimer up for another - only for Latimer to rip Noah's hand off at the apex of the lift!
A crowd pop for the escape drowned out Latimer's footsteps as he hit the ropes, ducked a lariat, ducked the back elbow and flung himself off the ropes to land a flying forearm. Noah staggered into the ropes, rebounded and Latimer back body drops the man to a Hercules-like pop with Scotty falling to the mat after it.
CUT TO: DANE MITCHELL TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
DANE MITCHELL: Let’s Go! Look at that, digging damn deep - Let’s go Latimer!
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Latimer stalked Noah for a springboard DDT. The work on the back had Noah clutching it with one arm, another on his knee - he was wide open. Latimer flew into the air and ate a headbutt right to the chest. Latimer was gasping for air as Noah stumbled from the impact.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MATT STONE (WINCING): Oooo - that ain’t good.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Scotty walked into an overhead belly to belly and the suplex got spammed. The audience started counting them until before an even 8, Noah's back slowed him down, and Latimer stuck the landing. Superkick! Superkick! Knee trembler! Superkick and then the DDT finally brought Noah down to the mat. Scotty got himself back up, connecting with a Rogue Lariat that felt like it was everything left in the tank. He draped an arm over Noah and managed to score the win.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING
In the ring, Aubrey Williams stepped in while referee Boscoe raised Latimer’s hand up..
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen…Here is your winner, Scotty Latimer!
Latimer held his abdomen, almost unable to get his left arm any higher than that. Still, he helped Noah back up to his feet and acknowledged Noah’s work with a quick comment, a pat on the shoulder. Noah exited the ring to let Scotty have his win.
Latimer then decided to make a quick comment - that’s how you win a match from start to finish - Matt.
CUT TO: RAYVEN HARDY TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
RAYVEN HARDY (TICKED OFF): Couldn’t agree more.

SEGMENT: 'SNAP DECISIONS’
INT: THE VENUE - THE HALLWAY
In the hallway we find MATT STONE casually sitting back against the wall, alongside another member of staff - the staff member however realized there was a sign above saying wet paint. After peeling his black shirt off and seeing it covered with paint, he left. Matt sniggered - quickly checked he was clean and he was - then continued to smirk to himself.
As the staff member disappeared around the corner, RAYVEN HARDY came storming out toward him. She had changed into her after match attire but still had a look in her eye and some words to exchange.
MATT STONE: Rayven. Welcome to the
RAYVEN HARDY: HOW could you steal my big return from me!?
Matt reacted, as the wall made it seem as though she’d yelled right in his ear.
MATT STONE: Okay, inside voices. This changing room is still small and I don't need your voice deafening me right before my match.
RAYVEN HARDY: Don't talk to me like I'm a child. What you did out there - you stole my return to wrestling.
She said with a stern, serious straight face and shooting Matt daggers with her eyes.
MATT STONE: You may have been out of the business for a little too long. It's all about collecting the Ws like rings. After Kid Moe gets knocked down I'm one win away from challenging for the title.
Matt turned around to put on his glasses while he continued his point.
MATT STONE: It's just business, nothing personal. I saw an opportunity and I took it. Don't hate the player as they say.
The Tenacity GM saw Scotty was cooling his jets a little.
RAYVEN HARDY: Okay. I get it. Silly me, right? You want to take advantage of my good nature. So here’s what I’m going to do.
MATT STONE: The game plan. Let’s hear it.
RAYVEN HARDY: Shut up.
MATT STONE: Shut Me -
Rayven quickly covered his mouth with her hand, aggressively, with a nail or two starting to dig in. Matt’s eyes get revealed as Rayven pulled off his shades.
RAYVEN HARDY: Ask and you shall receive.
Carmen walked past Scotty who was left to ponder the position/offer he’d received with the scene closing on an emerging smirk.
RAYVEN HARDY: I’m going to give Kidd a few last minute pointers on what kind of a -
She couldn’t bring herself to say “guy”.
RAYVEN HARDY: -snake you are. Maybe I’ll stop by Carmen’s office and see what she thinks about Rayven vs Matt next show. So I can kick your ass - or what’s left of it after Kidd gets through with you.

SEGMENT: 'CHAMPION IMPRESSIONS’
INT: THE VENUE - CATERING AREA
Sipping some quality coffee is MARINA MARSTON, savoring the taste as she then spotted Victoria Salinas coming out into the catering area; collecting two water bottles for herself.
MARINA MARSTON: Champ!
VICTORIA SALINAS: Yes?
MARINA MARSTON: Hi. Hello. I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m Marina Marston - and don’t take this as arrogance - I hope to be in the ring with you one day competing for that title.
Mimi tucked her napkin down her shirt just in case she got anything on her Derrick La’Bell shirt, and tucked in for a bite.
VICTORIA SALINAS: I don’t see it as arrogance. I’m a fighting champion. It’s one of my responsibilities to inspire talent to be their best and face me, test themselves.
VICTORIA SALINAS: I hope you don’t take this as arrogance - but if and when that does happen. Like Kendrick, you won’t get this title off me.
The comment sounded quite foreign to Marina’s ears.
MARINA MARSTON: Okay, did not expect that. The whole inspire to be better line and then you come out with that - rather definite comment - that I won’t beat you.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Nobody is taking it from me. You, Noah, Scotty, Matt, nobody - and I mean nobody - can.
Victoria then left Marina a bottle, while she walked off to continue getting ready for the match later on. Marina is then left alone. She continued to look off in the direction the champ had gone - meaning she was unaware Noah Leiffson had stepped out to see who’d called his name.
MARINA MARSTON: Right now. I think you forgot to add right now.
Noah then walked back, once again fearing he was overhearing a private conversation Marina was having with herself.
MARINA MARSTON: But you’ll see.
The camera then panned to reveal Kidd Dudley with a fast talking Rayven Hardy giving him 101 hints as he made his way to the ring. Marina decided to leave her plate and go get ready for her match.
(Scene End) 'MATCH #3' 'WE CALLED THIS THE “FIRST TIME FACING OFF”' KIDD DUDLEY Vs MATT STONE
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
The technical stars took the early moments to showcase their individual technical prowess. Kidd would slip out of holds, lock Matt in only to see the man selling Shut Me Up shirts escape and lock his own hold in. Technical stand offs were common as they regrouped.
Matt held Kidd in a side headlock for a few moments, constantly dragging the English lad over when he got to a footing. Dudley eventually found an escape on the mat with a headstand kick out and followed up with a penalty kick to Matt's stomach. Kidd landed a couple more strikes before the sunset flip scored him an early two count. Stone endured the saito suplex, the shinbreaker but he popped the crowd when Kidd threw his legs up while Matt held the ropes; effectively making Matt backflip onto his feet. Matt took advantage of everyone's amazement and connected with a single knee facebreaker and followed it up with a running Stone Cutter!
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MATT STONE (SINGING): Who breaks faces in the ring? I doooo. I dooo.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Matt manages to connect with a buckle-back suplex and follows it with a cradle pin. Kidd managed to burst out but the impact still left Matt Stone in firm control of the contest. Matt targeted Kidd’s shoulder with repeated knees. It wasn’t until Matt went for a shoulder-breaker did Kidd counter with a quick headscissors takedown, hip toss into a knee to the shoulder blades. Matt got a running dropkick to the back of the head when Kidd Dudley tried to lock the Canadian in a Sharpshooter - Latveria Lock.
Stone managed to escape the hold with a rope break and Kidd released on one. Kidd waited for Matt to get back up before he locked up with Matt - back suplex! No Stone landed on his feet and shoved Dudley into the corner. Stone hit the lariat and slipped out to the ropes before he climbed to the top rope! Everyone’s on their feet - including Kidd! ARM DRAG and Matt hit the canvas before getting back up and walking into a rolling snapmare, where Kidd locked in a straight jacket camel clutch. Matt repeatedly told the referee no, ending with Stone telling the referee to stop asking him. Matt chose to power out but ended up taking a cross arm lungblower with Kidd looking to lock in the Mendoza Death Lock!
CUT TO: RAYVEN HARDY TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
RAYVEN HARDY: I told him to make Matt tap out. It’s one of the many great things that makes Dudley better than Matt. He’s far better than Matt at submission style wrestling. You’d like another? Where do I begin. We got-
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Stone, yet again, got the rope break - but this time he was more panicked and scrambled. Still, Kidd Dudley released his leg hold on one. Matt took a breather to readjust and form a game plan while Kidd waited in the ring. Matt got back inside and the two went to technical reversal to technical reversal ending with Matt shoving Kidd into the official and tried the roll-up with the tights - but the official caught it.
CUT TO: REFEREE BOSCOE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
REFEREE BOSCOE: Not on my watch.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) The argument between Stone and referee Boscoe was heated with Stone loudly accusing Boscoe of not wanting him anywhere near the title. Kidd managed to get up and took Stone’s chops across the chest, then ate the second turnbuckle and finally Matt’s corner slingshot double knee drop to his back set Matt up for a drive by boot - but Kidd Dudley powers out!
SUPERKICK! By Matt Stone NO! Latveria Lock again, one of the quickest tie ups by Dudley has Matt now in pain. He has a long crawl but manages to hook his forearm around the rope and Kidd Dudley released the hold before collapsing and holding his back too.
CUT TO: SCOTTY LATIMER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
SCOTTY LATIMER: Nearly. He nearly got Matt to squeal.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Kidd stalked Matt, yanked him from the ropes and threw him with a german suplex. Matt managed to slip out to the apron and avoid a jumping back to belly body avalanche, sending Kidd to his knees. Matt got to the top rope and came down with a double axe handle to the back. Dudley hit the mat and Stone now tried to end it Sharpshooter style - INSIDE CRADLE INSIDE CRADLE BUT Matt Stone bursts out before the three. Stone caught Kidd with a loud slap to his chest, then busted out a rare spinebuster, before he locked in the Sharpshooter on Kidd. Dudley started to crawl to the ropes but managed to tuck and punch his way out. Stone hung on the ropes trying to stop seeing double of every fan in the audience.
Kidd looked like he was gonna go for an abdomen kick but Matt Stone hooked his legs and threw Kidd out of the ring. Stone added a back suplex on the outside, with some extra mustard on it as he reminded the fans he’s coming for the title not some wannabe Kid Moe.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MATT STONE: You push me - and you push me and I show you what I got cooking.
CUT TO: RAYVEN HARDY TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
RAYVEN HARDY: You know what? Let’s see how he likes it..
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Matt rammed Kidd back first into the ring post and sent him back into the ring. It was then Rayven Hardy came out to the ring behind Matt. Stone got himself into the ring and missed the lariat - stopped before hitting the official and turned around to get a running wing stunner by Kidd Dudley, only for Matt’s arm to ricochet into the official.
Hardy slid in the ring, and only when Matt Stone back body drops Kidd Dudley, runs towards Matt Stone for a running cutter but Matt throws her off and she gets caught by Kidd Dudley with her arm around his head, her feet on his legs. The momentary split second she looked impressed, ended with Matt Stone dropkicking the shins and made Rayven inadvertently spike DDT Kidd Dudley. Matt then threw Rayven out the ring with a sliding dropkick, clapped loud AF to get the official to pay attention, before landing a c-c-c-combobreaker on Kidd Dudley and hooked the leg.
CUT TO: RINGSIDE
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of this match! Matt Stone!
Matt raised his arm up while backtracking into the ropes, for a handstand exit as Rayven Hardy got in the ring trying to get some retribution over the kick to her back. Matt Stone simply reminded her of the tally towards the title; Stone two, Rayven zero and waved bye bye to her.
However, he turned his back to her halfway up the ramp and Rayven had a lot of energy. She sprinted down and got the jump on Matt, running him over with a big forearm to the worked over back. Hardy landed a few stomps before some security came out to stop Rayven and Matt Stone would get in a cheeky, heelish flick to the forehead which riled Rayven up - as Matt Stone made his way backstage.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MATT STONE: Why the flick? Why not? She’s not on my radar. I’m one win away from taking the title off Victoria’s shoulders - and if Kendrick drags his heels - i MAY even take the first title defense spot too.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Salinas booted Kendrick from the ring, and helped Kido and Noah up. Noah, modestly admitted Kido got him this time but next time he’ll be watching out for that lightning. Kido meanwhile looked at the title he was one win closer towards while Kendrick is filmed exiting through the crowd rather than the ramp - guarded by Mr. Latimer.

INT: THE VENUE - CATERING AREA
DANE MITCHELL can be seen holding his phone with a stopwatch. The chef clicks the button and it begins counting down from five minutes. The camera slowly panned back to reveal Teamster Tommy O’Malley just tearing into some large chicken wings smothered in some blood red hot sauce. Beside him is RAION KIDO putting his tongue to the test. There’s a small crowd who wanna see this unfold.
Two wings go down by each of them, then the spice hits Tommy and stopped him in his tracks. Raion continued to strip a third with his teeth, and half-way into a fourth when his eyes watered and the spice caught up to him too.
Both men start to go red and Tommy throws in the towel, napkin, as Raion Kido boldly attempted to finish off the fourth but bowed out.
RAION KIDO: Dane. A wise man knows when to stop before he hurts himself - I’m doing just that, it’s just way too hot.
DANE MITCHELL: Yeah. I don’t pit my tongue or stomach against these bad boys. Good luck, Tommy.
Dane said, patting the teamster on his back, almost provoking him to start the heat hiccups.
RAION KIDO: Do you have any milk-Thank you.
Raion started requesting, but Dane was one step ahead.
RAION KIDO: Ahhh - that helps..
DANE MITCHELL: Maybe I should keep a little of this hot sauce handy. Work out how to turn it into one of those mist attacks you see in the ring.
RAION KIDO: Spicy mist would be new, blinding definitely if you got a molecule of this sauce anywhere near your eyes..
Raion got a fresh napkin to wipe his hands, then another fresh napkin to wipe his eyes and nose. The crowd at this point have dispersed.
RAION KIDO: But I don’t believe you’ll need those tactics to succeed when you graduate.
DANE MITCHELL: True. I’m looking forward to it. I just gotta sort out so much. Entrance music, my whole entrance actually. My finishing maneuver,
RAION KIDO: Your ring attire. An academy tee won’t do once you’re a graduate.
DANE MITCHELL: Clementine hooked me up with her cousin to get some cool gear. I got some samples sent to my place to try on after the show.
RAION KIDO: One thing almost done - in that case.
DANE MITCHELL: Yeah. I wonder who’ll be my first opponent.
RAION KIDO: It could be anybody, even me.
DANE MITCHELL: True. I hope not, but it's true.
RAION KIDO: If it does, there will be no mist, no tricks, and no Matt Stone entering at the last minute.
DANE MITCHELL: That stunt was wild. You gotta get him back on that. Can’t have him just steal your spot like that, man.
RAION KIDO: He and I will cross paths again. In fact with him one win ahead, I could face him one on one for the title.
DANE MITCHELL: Nah. Victoria’s too good, no way. Holy - Abby, Hi!.
RAION KIDO: Evening, Miss Blake
The pair stood up as ABBY BLAKE showed up with a blissfully hunger appetite.
ABBY BLAKE: Hope I’m not interrupting, I just stopped by to see if I can get something on the secret menu. Tomato and bacon sandwich?
DANE MITCHELL: Coming right up, Boss.
RAION KIDO: I’ll leave you to your meal.
ABBY BLAKE: You sure?
RAION KIDO: Yes. You see my lips are still burnt from the hot sauce. I’m going to go see if I can get some ice. Enjoy your sandwich.
ABBY BLAKE: Fair enough. Enjoy your ice. Won’t be as good as what I’ve just ordered though. Dane, looks like you’re my company for this little quick bite to eat.
Raion Kido began walking away as the camera followed him. Raion is then stopped by CARMEN ROJA-TORRES.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: Raion. A moment.
Raion stopped, spun on his heels and then headed into the office of the Tenacity Wrestling GM.

'MATCH #4' 'THE INTERVIEW WITH FISTS AND KICKS' JESSICA CARTER Vs MARINA MARSTON
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
The match up begins with Marina Marston and Jessica Carter running into each other, the shorter Marina ducks behind Jess for a backstabber but gets slammed on her bag by Jess performing a rolling arm drag. Marina dusted herself off while Jess soaked in the crowd pop. This time Marston hit a couple strikes to get Jess in the corner. Jess struck back with a big back elbow that created some big distance and Jess looked for a diving move this early. Marina spotted Jess out the corner of her eye and ran up the corner, twisting to perform a big bulldog to Jess, eclipsing Carter's pop. Marina tried to score the victory with a running bicycle knee.
The knees missed as Jessica rolled underneath like she was Indiana Jones. Marina was still quicker with a vertical kick down on the upper back. Carter tried to get a rope break but couldn't get there in time as Marina hit a sliding elbow drop to the back. Marston targeted the spot one more time with a running STO backbreaker but Jess not only kicked out, but caught Marina like a snake catching prey, locking in an octopus stretch. Marina, luckily got a hand on the ropes and Jess broke her hold.
CUT TO: JESSICA CARTER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
JESSICA CARTER: I thought I had her with that one, just didn’t know we were so close to the ropes.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Jessica impressively catches Marina with a spinning back kick to knock her down to a knee. Jess got some speed behind her before she delivered a dropkick, knocking Marina from her knees onto her back; into a reclining hero position. Jess got a little cocky and planted her feet atop Marina’s shoulders thinking, no, believing she'd got the win - only for Marina to make Jess not count her out so quickly with a kick out. Marina broke out the clutch and hammered Jess with forearms. The irish whip sent the British lass into the ropes, Marina went for a dropkick but Jess held the ropes and Marina crash landed. Jess somersaulted - catching Marina’s legs - to then stand up with Marston on her back. Jess was in a Alabama slam mood but Double M grabbed the ropes to prevent it. Jess was made to let go and Marina hit a side kick. Jess impressed yet again with a standing leap hurricanrana that flung Marston off the second rope.
With her opponent disorientated, Jess went to the second rope and threw caution to the wind, somersault senton while hooking the leg which left Jess with the win - ALMOST! Marina managed to hang in with a shoulder up.
CUT TO: SCOTTY LATIMER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
SCOTTY LATIMER: Good hanging in there.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Jessica tried to choke out Marina with a headscissors variety submission - only for Marina to break out and impressively kick Jess to the ropes, up to the top rope and threw her over the top rope. Jess stuck the landing but was doubled over from the abdomen kicks. In this situation Marina performed a springboard DDT onto the ring apron!
CUT TO: RAYVEN HARDY TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
RAYVEN HARDY (RECOILING): I felt that from all the way here. That thud…
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) After getting Jess back into the ring, Marina Marston flew off the top rope and connected with a tried and true flying crossbody - collecting a near fall with it. Marina decided to try and end it here, measuring the interviewer, business woman but crucially right now the wrestler Jessica Carter with the focus of an assassin. JAWBREAKER! NO JESSICA CATCHES HER IN THE FIREMAN’S CARRY! STEAMROLLER and Jessica lands a standing leap onto the top rope - SHOW STEALER, twice driving the air out of Marina in the span of seconds. This time the pinfall gets the 1, the 2 and the ever decisive 3 to give Jessica Carter her third victory.
CUT TO: RINGSIDE
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of this match! Jessica Carter!
Jess celebrated her win, before offering an applause to Marina for her efforts. Marina respectfully allowed Jess her time to celebrate and made her way to the backstage area.

SEGMENT: 'EVERY LITTLE THING’
INT: THE VENUE - BACKSTAGE AREA
We find MATT STONE currently irked by the Jessica Carter news, seeing a monitor displaying Jessica Carter - Officially a contender for the Grand Championship. Given he was part of that journey, he took a very annoyed bite of his chocolate cake he’d got to celebrate two wins.
MATT STONE: So Kendrick, and now Jessica Carter are in there. I got one more win to go - maybe Millie already has the poster made up. Can’t hurt to see who I’m up against next.
Matt left his dishes on the crate, slipped his jacket over his shoulder and started looking around to see where Millie would be with her tablet. He found Millie’s tablet moments later but no Millie with it.
MATT STONE: Did she get dusted? Hope not - though Latimer getting dusted wouldn’t be so bad. Stole my parking spot today.
Stone took a look around. He does a complete turn and sees VICTORIA SALINAS walking down the hallway, quickly disappearing from sight. Stone turned back around and saw not Millie, another blonde girl making her way towards Millie’s stuff.
BLONDE WOMAN: Sorry, just coming to get my cousin's things.
MATT STONE: Cousin?
BLONDE WOMAN: Yeah. I’m Roxie. Nice to finally meet you in person, Matt Stone,
She extended her hand out to shake his hand. Roxie then turned her attention to getting Millie’s tablet.
MATT STONE: You - Yeah of course you’ve heard of me. Bree probably name drops me a lot.
ROXIE SMITH: Sure. Oh - word to the wise. I passed a girl back there who has just found a steel chair and I believe she gritted your name, I’d watch out for her.
ROXIE SMITH: See ya around.
She lightly gave him a flick on his shoulder, a hint Matt picked up immediately as who was gunning for him. He initially played off as nothing to worry about.
MATT STONE: I look forward to it. Don’t worry about me though. Rayven Hardy couldn’t hurt a fly even with a steel chair.
A clang of metal hitting metal is heard, thanks to the echoing hallway which raised the hair on Matt’s arms a little.
MATT STONE: On second thought, I am late for the snip snip on the hair. Got an exclusive connection with the best in the business so I’m just gonna duck out before traffic gets too bad.
Matt then hears the sound of footsteps, angry footsteps in the near distance so he decides to go the long way round, ending with Rayven Hardy coming around the corner a couple mississippi's too late.

SEGMENT: 'CAN’T ‘STAND’ HIM’
INT: THE VENUE - BACKSTAGE AREA
A sea of black security shirts surrounded the area where KENDRICK KROSS, stood over Victoria Salinas. The champion clutching her leg, specifically the knee.
CUT TO: SLIGHTLY EARLIER
Salinas walked out of the changing room dressed to compete. The door swung open, with Kendrick Kross appearing behind it as it swung back. The champion has a chipper demeanor which rapidly switched to seething pain as Kendrick came from behind with a spinning back kick to the knee.
Following that, Kendrick targeted the knee with a series of stomps – ending with a quick drive of the chair back of a steel chair.
CUT TO: KENDRICK KROSS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
KENDRICK KROSS: Looks like the champ might have to forfeit the title…
CUT TO: VICTORIA SALINAS TALKING HEAD - MEDIC ROOM.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Forfeit? No. He thinks I’m gonna forfeit.
Salinas got herself off the bed she had been sitting up on, snatched her title off the side and began making her exit.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Out of my way. I have a match
(Scene End)
'MATCH #5' 'EXHIBITION FACE-OFF' (NON-TITLE) KENDRICK KROSS Vs VICTORIA SALINAS
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING The match up started with Kendrick attacking the leg of Salinas, despite her trying to keep it away. It only took one tackle where he took a forearm to grab the leg and wrenched. Salinas then saw her knee slammed into the mat as Kendrick spammed the move like a glitch in the system. It wasn’t like Victoria to take a breather this early but the pain was getting to her. Kendrick taunted the crowd which let Victoria re-enter the ring. Salinas wouldn’t get back into the match until she offered her leg as bait to Kendrick. A chop block got missed as Vic backflipped with the ropes to crash down on his back with a well placed knee to the lower back.
The audience were denied a retribution run as Victoria only got two stomps in before Kendrick escaped the ring. Being wise about her situation, the Grand Champion of Tenacity stayed in the ring. Kendrick got to an eight count before he returned. He took a knee to the gut, as she tried a neckbreaker, Kendrick went low and clubbed the knee until he caused Victoria to collapse. Salinas took another knee slam, until she went outside - just where Kendrick wanted her.
CUT TO: JESSICA CARTER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
JESSICA CARTER: I really don’t want to see Victoria injured as the inaugural champion.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Kendrick performed the knee slam on the outside padding and then got the sinister idea to perform it on the unprotected floor. After removing the padding sheet, he dragged Salinas over. Victoria managed to avoid disaster, using the lift to somersault onto both feet, using her position to spring up and roundhouse kick Kendrick mostly into the ring.
Salinas rolled her opponent and current contender back in where she made good on the neckbreaker - delivering two on Kendrick back to back - thematically scoring a two count on the pin that followed. Salinas kept on her opponent, tossing him shoulder first into the ring post but he got out the way of a head trauma that would have been a yakuza kick. Salinas stepped into the ring, on the bottom rope and landed a 180 swinging DDT, rolled to the outside where she looked for the top rope moonsault. Kendrick Kross came by - hitting the knee which caused Salinas to collapse into a tree of woe.
CUT TO: SCOTTY LATIMER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
SCOTTY LATIMER: You just know Kendrick’s gonna take advantage of this. Everybody in the arena knows it look at their faces.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Here Kendrick landed a couple of closed fists to Salinas as he held her by the hair, adding a couple of forearm clubs to the knee - the running dropkick across the hypotenuse of the ring finally freed Salinas who the fans could hear was hurting now. Kendrick Kross landed a tiger suplex without any problems, and tried to end it off a Spike DDT. This one ended with Victoria kicking out and coming out vicious. Wild, uncalculated and retribution punches to fend off Kendrick mounted a would-be comeback had Kendrick not kicked her back in the knee and followed it up with a clover leaf. Victoria got to the ropes but Kendrick refused to break this hold and got every last nanosecond before releasing the hold.
Salinas took yet another knee slam, before Kendrick decided to go for a superplex. On the top rope Victoria headbutted her way out, before she performed that moonsault! Kendrick got the knees up and Salinas landed on her feet, rolled Kendrick back onto his knees and struck with two roundhouse kicks, a slight limp backwalk into the ropes due to the landing but still got all of her busaiku knee - knocking Kendrick by the ropes. The time Salinas took getting Kendrick away definitely contributed to Kross kicking out on this one.
CUT TO: KENDRICK KROSS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
KENDRICK KROSS: Doubted me? You all doubted I’d kick out of that? Pfft, I’m strong, and that’s what Vicky is gonna see and fear when the strap is on the line.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Victoria struggled back to her feet, still beat Kross and avoided his low clothesline by leaping over it, hit the ropes and performed a headscissors takeover. Salinas measured her opponent and went for the Vainglorius Victory - only to be disappointed when Kendrick Kross dropped to the floor and rolled out the ring. Salinas heard the boos hurled Kendrick’s way and turned them right back to cheers with a risky suicide dive. She went to put Kendrick back in the ring but he fought her back, barely, and she managed to subdue him with a couple kicks. As she tried to drag him up Kross pulled Salinas face first into the corner of the ring apron. Salinas is understandably hurt and Kendrick makes good of the spot he teased earlier.
At a count of seven, Kendrick Kross slammed Victoria’s knee into the unprotected flooring before he got himself back into the ring at the nine count - provoking heavy boos when referee boscoe counted the ten count and called for the bell.
CUT TO: RINGSIDE
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of this match! Kendrick Kross
Boscoe immediately called for some medics to come check Kendrick’s damage, giving the champion some assistance in getting up. The crowd then cheered as Jessica Carter then came out and prevented Kendrick Kross from getting another attack on Victoria, not on her watch. The show coming to a close on a split screen of Kendrick Kross and a defiant Victoria shrugging off the official to help her stand up, holding her title up and telling Kross he won’t be taking it from her.
