Tenacity Wrestling - Show 5: Victoria the Champion February 19th, 2024
SEGMENT: 'VICTORIA THE CHAMPION’
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
The show opened with Victoria Salinas making her way to the ring. The crowd applauded her and got even louder once Victoria raised the title up in the ring. She took a good, long moment to savor this win.
VICTORIA SALINAS: Thank you. Thank you. Honestly, guys, girls, everybody here, everybody watching on demand. Thank you. To Ms. Smith, Ms. Blake. Our new GM, and to the three guys who made me claw, bruised and glad we had January off to recovery from one hell of a fatal four way. Thank you.
The crowd gave her a good cheer.
VICTORIA SALINAS: We are now in 2024 and this title is-
At which point we hear Kendrick Kross’ theme song blare out and Kendrick Kross steps out but stays on the entrance ramp.
KENDRICK KROSS: Victoria Salinas. Congratulations on winning MY TITLE.
Kendrick briefly paused, encouraging the crowd to boo further.
KENDRICK KROSS: Get it out of your system guys, if I looked like any of you I’d boo me too but back to you, Vick. That right there, the shiny gold belt with your name temporarily on it. That’s mine. I’m one win away from it.
VICTORIA SALINAS: And I don’t think you’ll get it tonight.
VICTORIA SALINAS: No, Kendrick, shut up for a second. I’ve seen who you're facing. I’ve been in the ring with him and I don’t believe you’re going to win - and it sounds like these people don’t believe in you either.
KENDRICK KROSS: You can live in that fairytale land where you’re the champion and Scotty Latimer overcomes an incredible force like Kendrick Kross.
Kendrick frowned, threw his hands up to that crazy idea.
KENDRICK KROSS: I’ll live in reality where I’ll be winning tonight then it’s you and I. I know you’ve probably thought about you and I under different circumstances but once I take the title from you my interest goes to nothing. I know that’s hard to hear, but it’s the truth.
Kross started making his way to the ring as Salinas was asking the crowd if they heard what she just heard. Kross then continued on the mic.
KENDRICK KROSS: So, “Champ”. Kindly get out of the ring. You’re not booked to compete tonight - one of the perks I do look forward to when I take that title away from you at show six,
VICTORIA SALINAS: Make me.
Which stopped Kendrick Kross at the ramp.
KENDRICK KROSS: Maybe Matt Stone hit you too hard back in December. I’m not risking my final win pulling something by throwing you out this ring. I’m telling you to MOVE and LEAVE.
VICTORIA SALINAS: And I’m telling you…Make me.
KENDRICK KROSS: Fine. You asked for it.
Kendrick Kross goes to slide in and Salinas goes to hit him with a stomp. Kendrick picked up the mic and can be heard chuckling.
KENDRICK KROSS: Nice try, Babe. I just realized that I should treat these people to my entrance, so what I’m gonna do is head back and then do my entrance for these people.
VICTORIA SALINAS: (PICKED UP ON KENDRICK’S MIC) That’s what you’re gonna do?
KENDRICK KROSS: That’s what I’m gonna do. I don’t want you falling out the ring, break your ankle and try to weasel your way out of the best match of your entire career. Later.
Kendrick then takes his leave from the ring, heading up the ramp as he keeps eye contact with Victoria who proudly holds up the title once more.

SEGMENT: 'LION’S ROAR’
INT: THE VENUE - STAFF ROOM
Backstage, Raion Kido is unpacking the golden box he always carries strapped to his back, where he keeps the golden armor that he wears every time he comes out on stage.
RAION KIDO: Last week I was asked how I come back from a big loss, and I answered with the only answer I know - to get back up once again no matter how many times it takes. But as I look back towards this time, I feel like I have been idle for far too long, and it is time to get my head back into the right space.
The Lion takes out his stage outfit - a golden breastplate, golden vambraces, golden greaves, and a helmet shaped like a lion’s mane, all of which he starts polishing delicately with a white cloth that he removes from his backpack last.
RAION KIDO: And such an opportunity comes tonight for me by slaying a Monster from Minnesota, a beast of a man that goes by the name of Noah Leiffsen.
A smile crosses the face of the Japanese wrestler after he has said these words.
RAION KIDO: I have no personal grudge against this guy, he seems to be a spirited and passionate competitor, and I can certainly imagine why he has adopted the Minnesota Monster sobriquet. But I think it’s time that Smith Family Wrestling remembers who and what exactly Raion Kido is, and why not even a monster cannot bring down a Lion.
As he sets each piece of his armor on the floor, the camera sees that the armor itself resembles the beast from which the Osaka native draws his name - save for the head, which he still holds in his hands. The Gold Saint of Leo finishes shining the armor’s headpiece, and sets it down with the rest - completing the Lion image, which now glitters with a mirror-like sheen.
RAION KIDO: And that goes especially so because I have a lot of things to prove.
After this, Raion begins putting on his armor - legs first, vambraces second, and breastplate once his limbs are clad in metal.
RAION KIDO: I think I have been coasting all along, but it is high time I regained my motivation, and the drive to get to the level in which I know I can be and where I have no doubt I belong: To be one of the very best in the wrestling landscape. Perhaps I am somewhat ashamed to say that I have been a little cub…
Now clad in his stage outfit, the Lion puts on the headpiece, and throws the cloth he was using back to form a cloak of snow white.
RAION KIDO: … but the time has come for me to let Smith Family Wrestling hear the roar of a Lion once more. Mr. Leiffsen might be able to absorb a lot of damage, especially to his head - but I shall put him down with the strike of a Lighting Bolt to his heart!
The Lion throws a punch forward, the swift motion of his fist cutting the very air around it, before coming to a stop announced by a metal clang.

'MATCH #1' 'TWO IS THE MAGIC NUMBER' SCOTTY LATIMER Vs KENDRICK KROSS
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
Kendrick Kross chose to forgo Scotty's entrance, ambushing the former contender and took a moment to tell Scotty's fanbase his theme sucked. Scotty, a fighter at heart, after being thrown into the steps and then the ring told the ref he's going to continue. This led Kross to hit with rapid fire kicks before planting Scotty with a single underhook suplex; which scored him an early two count.
Kendrick decided to reveal a little body paint he'd had done. Standing on Latimer (simultaneously choking him on the bottom rope) and revealing his two past wins on his chest, telling Latimer he's not championship material.
CUT TO: VICTORIA SALINAS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
In the backstage area, dressed in what she arrived in is Victoria who pulls her eyes from the match to comment.
VICTORIA SALINAS: I really, really hate when people do that. Illegally choking you because, let’s just say it, they can’t handle you one on one so they shortcut you.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Latimer stood up in the corner, missed a back elbow as Kendrick went low for a shoulder to the kidneys. A second one broke Scotty's hold and a snap back suplex transitioned Kendrick's Stomp-NO Scotty super kicked Kendrick. Kross bounced off the ropes and Scotty landed the back suplex with some extra sauce on it. Latimer then stomped a few times on Kendrick's chest until the paint was smeared and illegible.
Scotty hits Kendrick with a rope hung set of knee lifts before the deeply impactful DDT. Kendrick had to use the ropes to kick out and Latimer went straight into a wheelbarrow suplex; clobbering Kendrick as he bounced up onto his feet with a smash forearm.
CUT TO: MATT TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
We see Matt Stone casually watching the match backstage.
MATT STONE: I could have done that better. He should’ve hit him with a knee then a back suplex.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Latimer's dragon sleeper had Kendrick start to fade but he got to the ropes. Kendrick got dropkicked out the ring and Latimer introduced him to all three sides of the barricade, before attempting a back suplex on the edge of the ramp. Kendrick landed on his feet by slipping out the back then chop blocks Scotty. Latimer, once more, gets introduced to the steps and is left to lose by count out. Kross encouraged the crowd to count with him. The crowd did not join in, they unanimously joined together to back Scotty to get back in.
Latimer got back in, caught Kendrick's kick and threw some hands. Kendrick came back with a knee but noticed he had a slightly busted open lip which boiled his blood. He threw some hands back and it took the referee to catch one of his hands to stop him from punching.
CUT TO: VICTORIA TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
Victoria is seen backstage with the title belt neatly resting upon her lap.
VICTORIA SALINAS: See, this guy gets too heated. A seasoned veteran like Scotty and someone like me is going to capitalize on that.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Kendrick had some words for the official, who had no problem with asserting his authority. Latimer recovered enough to connect with a snap double underhook DDT on Kendrick - but still didn't get the three count and slapped the mat annoyed.
Latimer measured Kendrick, and went for the backbreaker but Kendrick countered into a headscissors takedown. Scott was last of the two to his feet and Kendrick looked for the jumping DDT and Scotty threw him away. High kick by Latimer - DUCKED. Low sweep by Kross, Latimer jumped it and connected with an inverted headlock backbreaker. Latimer followed up with a gut buster >> kick to the ribs and Latimer throws Kendrick into the middle turnbuckle. This looked to be the end as Scotty stalked his opponent.
CUT TO: SCOTTY TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
Scotty sat forward in his chair as he talked to the camera.
SCOTTY LATIMER: When you get to smack someone like Kendrick, you really want to pinpoint where that bruise is going to be.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Scotty went for the ripcord as Kendrick was pulled out the corner with the turnbuckle pad. The official snatched it away from him!
With the officials back turned, Latimer goes for the Rogue Lariat, Low Blow by Kendrick! Latimer dropped to the floor and all the official sees is Kendrick Kross running back from the ropes to curb stomp Latimer into the mat. Kendrick snaps his fingers for the official to come and count quickly before scoring the pinfall. Latimer was out of it and Kendrick got a "clean" three.
CUT TO: AUBREY WILLIAMS TALKING HEAD - RINGSIDE
Aubrey Williams, dressed fabulously as always, sat and let out a big sigh..
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Hmmm. I don’t know how happy you can be with that.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING
In the ring, Kendrick Kross signaled to Aubrey Williams to announce him the winner, wagging his finger at her when she started with the usual way to remind her how to announce him.
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies a-...Just the Ladies….Here is your winner, with three wins to his name - Kendrick Kross!
Kendrick posed and held up the three fingers to the crowd before quickly getting out of the ring.
CUT TO: KENDRICK KROSS TALKING HEAD - RINGSIDE
A pumped up, excited Kendrick Kross held up his three fingers to the camera..
KENDRICK KROSS: It’s like people don’t listen to me. I told the champ what the reality is - and here I AM. THE BEAUTIFUL CONTENDER.
(Scene End)
SEGMENT: 'HUNGRY FOR A CHANCE’
INT: THE VENUE - CATERING
MILLIE SMITH currently stands in line and eyeballing the last cupcake available. Ahead of her is Carmen who is waiting her turn while the staff member ahead to pay. Millie has her hood up, completely obscuring her from behind.
MATT STONE then turned up. The staff member in front walked away and Carmen noticed the affixation with the sweet treat Millie had. She kindly stepped aside.
CARMEN ROJA TORRES: Why don’t you go ahead?
Millie is a little startled but Carmen guided her in front and then noticed who was behind Millie.
CARMEN ROJA TORRES: My bad. I just showed some Favoritism.
MATT STONE: So you did see my post. I wouldn’t have seen it seeing as I didn’t get a reply.
CARMEN ROJA TORRES: I thought you were busy trying to make ‘fetch’ a thing.
MATT STONE: Anyway… I would like to talk about the Fatal four way back in December. It's been living with me like it's a Gil Gunderson situation.
A teamster in the background with a hat on and a ponytail flowing out the back of his cap snapped his fingers, telling his buds he got that reference.
MATT STONE: I should be the one to face Victoria to settle the issue every Tenacity fan is wrestling with. Would I have won if the match was fair. A true contest between her and I without anime lord and a guy who can't even spell ‘anime lord’.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: Mr. Stone. You all had equal opportunity to win the Grand Championship. Victoria was just the better wrestler that night. Now each of you has the opportunity to climb back to face her and I suggest you do so by winning some matches. That's my policy, show me you can get the job done in the ring and you'll face the best to be the best.
MATT STONE: (UNDER HIS BREATH) Like no one ever was.
Carmen helped herself to one of Dane’s homemade mini pies.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: What was that?
Matt cleared his throat.
MATT STONE: No one is better than me. If you put me in the ring with Victoria, tonight, I'll show you. Just give Jessica to Aubrey Williams I heard she used to wrestle. Staff Match winner gets a Starbucks gift card.
Carmen had finished gathering her light work lunch, and turned back to Matt to address him one final time before her walk off..
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: Why don't you handle the headlocks, and I'll handle the bookings. You outwrestle Jessica and I'll give you a new opponent to overcome.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE
Matt is shaking his head.
MATT STONE: The New GM seems to not get that this company needs someone like me repping the brand. I've held titles for the company before the rebrand.
Matt sat back and looked at the crew currently filming.
MATT STONE: But I've got to handle the interviewer tonight. Watch out, whatever-your-name-is. You could be next.
(Scene End)
SEGMENT: 'ALMOST READY’
INT: THE VENUE - THE HALLWAY
Coming out of the hallway we find Jessica and Matt being filmed by separate camera crews. Matt is dressed to compete where Jess still has her interviewer gear on. The two meet as they come around the corner and Matt is none too pleased.
MATT STONE: What is this? Why aren’t you ready to compete?
Jessica readjusted her stance.
JESSICA CARTER: I am just about to go get changed, I’ll be right out. You go, maybe talk to the audience for a bit and I’ll be right there.
MATT STONE: Talk? To the Audience? What am I a backstage interviewer?
JESSICA CARTER: Okay. I’ve had just enough of you putting down interviewers. I can do both jobs, talk the talk and walk the walk.
Matt snorted in derision and removed his sunglasses.
MATT STONE: All you’re doing is stalling. All this time you could have been getting ready.
The changing room opened behind Matt and Gigi Smith was seen holding a brush ready for Jess.
JESSICA CARTER: I’m going. I’m going. Geez.
CUT TO: JESSICA CARTER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE - CHANGING ROOM
Jess is sitting, now in her ring gear with Gigi Smith doing some last touch ups on the hair.
JESSICA CARTER: I don’t know why he’s in such a rush to lose to me anyway.
(Scene End)
'MATCH #2' 'TWO IS THE MAGIC NUMBER' JESSICA CARTER Vs MATT STONE
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
Matt patiently waited for Jessica who made her entrance in style. Once the bell sounded Stone went on the offense with an effective, tried-n-tested takedown before he tried to wear down Jess’s back with a double arm stretch, grinding his elbow into her back, and finally a couple backbreakers. Carter fought back with a quick, surprising dropkick that did shut Matt up for a brief minute. A Worcester Crab put the pressure on Matt’s back - though he was able to crawl to the ropes. Stone went for the old waist lockup when Jess suddenly hit a victory roll to send Matt into the middle rope. She tried to impress the fans with a springboard leg drop and gets nothing but apron!
Matt laughs while Jess feels that lower back. She’s sent back into the ring and Matt Stone connects with a double axe handle off the top rope. Jess is then put into the Worcester Crab aka the Boston Crab and Matt makes it a deep bend. Jess strains in the hold but crawls on her forearms to get closer and closer to the ropes. Matt sees her a fingernail’s length away, and forces her back to the middle. Jess, not wanting to make the long crawl again, manages to tuck and get through Matt’s legs. She fires off a couple of punches that releases her legs, a kip up from Carter makes one blonde boy in the front row cheer louder than everyone, and Jess capitalizes on the opening she created backstabber style.
CUT TO: JESSICA CARTER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
Jess is dressed to compete and still full of beans.
JESSICA CARTER: That was stunning, wasn’t it? I look real good kipping up into action.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Matt reverses the irish whip only then misses a clothesline to Jess on the rebound. A second backstabber! Matt’s shoulder blades tuck right in as he collapses in pain. He tries to get a breather in the corner but Jess is right there with a corner slingshot stomp to the back! She’s set up for the Show Stealer! Climbing quickly to the top rope she completes the 630 senton but hits an empty swimming pool as Matt avoids the impact - straight into the boston crab!
CUT TO: NOAH LEIFFSON TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
Likewise, Noah is still in his ring gear absolutely shocked
MATT STONE: She made me wait, I make her T-A-P.
Matt made sure to make a very loud, dramatic tapping motion in his hands as he spelled out the word.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Matt demands Jess tap. He tries to rally the crowd to chant it but they cheer Jess on. Carter manages to make it to the ropes and Matt struggles to pull her off, nearly getting DQ’d by the 5 count but abandons the hold. Matt connected with a knee drop on the back, a snap suplex followed, and finally Matt attempts the German! Jess lands on her feet! A THIRD BACKSTABBER-NO! Backpack stunner by Matt Stone and the crowd get to their feet as Matt looks for his piledriver…NOPE JESS back body drop but also falls to the mat holding her back.
It’s a race to their feet and Matt is just beaten by Jess - spinning heel kick sends Matt into the ropes and he fires back with the euro uppercut to Jess, flooring her. Matt Stone kisses his fist and drops it right INTO THE ring mat!
Matt clutches his hand, the fans relishing in his agony slightly, as Jess comes in with a kiss before the Stunned Silence DDT! Matt is down and Jess wraps an arm over for one, two, but Matt Stone kicks out!
CUT TO: JESSICA CARTER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
JESSICA CARTER: He’s a frustratingly good opponent, that Matt.
CUT TO: MATT STONE TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
MATT STONE: Wait - what did she call me after the match?
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Stone shoves Jess off to avoid a DDT, spinning backfist NO! Jess with a dropkick to his back! Matt’s on the second rope and Jess leaps over the ropes for the leg drop! Matt’s suffering from some airway trauma. Jess heads to the top rope and looks to land her finisher! She flies off and connects with the Show Stealer! Matt Stone is down and out with Jess holding her back but still manages the cover, praying for the win. She gets the one, the two, and the three!
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING
In the ring, Jessica is helped up by the officialhas encouraged Aubrey Williams into the ring so she can announce him.
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen…Here is your winner, with two wins to her name - Jessica Carter!
Aubrey pauses as there’s boos followed by some heavier boos from certain guys in the audience who
CUT TO: JESSICA CARTER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
JESSICA CARTER: One more to go!
CUT TO: VICTORIA TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
VICTORIA SALINAS: I'm hoping Jess comes for the belt. It'll be a refreshing change to Kendrick.
(Scene End)
SEGMENT: 'SNAP DECISIONS’
INT: THE VENUE - THE HALLWAY
In the hallway we find Scotty Latimer angrily pacing back and forth before Carmen came out carrying with her a small file. She paused once Scotty turned around.
SCOTTY LATIMER: Okay, new GM. What are you going to do about Kendrick robbing his way to the main event.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: Well you’re not going to like my stance. I believe in our business the referee’s call is final.
SCOTTY LATIMER: Hang on - fina-
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: I wasn’t finished, Mr. Latimer.
Scotty held his tongue, and gave Carmen the floor as it were.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: I also believe in having a champion the people see as the best of the best, not someone who can swing their foot below the belt at the right time. Kendrick under Tenacity Wrestling’s policy has earned a title shot and clearly is a slippery man. So what I’m going to do is offer you a chance to work with Head official Boscoe.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: I know you’d hate to see Kendrick overthrow Victoria Salinas on a cheap ploy, exploiting a blind spot. I do. I know that and I believe you’ll ensure that when the official’s back is turned you’ll be there as a back-up official to catch any foul play.
The Tenacity GM saw Scotty was cooling his jets a little.
SCOTTY LATIMER: A special referee, hmmm?
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: I prefer the term special enforcer. There to enforce the rules should our head official miss something. Given it’s our first title defense I’d like to see a pure test of ability. You’re there to counter-act the chaos. Fight fire with fire as they say. Enjoy the rest of your evening.
Carmen walked past Scotty who was left to ponder the position/offer he’d received with the scene closing on an emerging smirk.
(Scene End)
SEGMENT: 'CONTRACT’
INT: THE VENUE - CATERING AREA
Dane is currently in catering, finishing the prep meal Matt Stone had requested and asked his taste tester to try it. That being Mimi Smith who had just finished the pan pizza she’d requested.
DANE MITCHELL: Thanks for
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: Dane. Can I have a moment?
DANE MITCHELL: Sure thing.
Mimi tucked her napkin down her shirt just in case she got anything on her Derrick La’Bell shirt, and tucked in for a bite.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: I have something for you. Here.
DANE MITCHELL: What's this? A cook book?
Carmen let Dane begin to unwrap the book.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: I believe in pursuing greatness. I have checked out a couple of those academy shows on my flights to and from Miami. What I've seen is impressive. What I want is to sign you to a one year contract once you graduate from the academy to compete here.
DANE MITCHELL: Wait. Seriously?
The chef opened up the packet with a much more exciting and rash pace.
CARMEN ROJA-TORRES: You can have your attorney review it, if the academy offers some legal services or you have your own lawyer retainer back in Chicago. Either way, have a review and I hope to see it back with a neat signature on the bottom line.
DANE MITCHELL: I will. Yeah, definitely.
Carmen smiled as he started looking into the fine print, and then pulled her phone up onto the next pressing matter.
(Scene End) 'MATCH #3' 'MONSTER VS LION' RAION KIDO Vs NOAH LEIFFSON
INT: THE VENUE - THE RING
Noah offered his hand out to Raion as a token of respect. Raion accepts it before the pair do lock up and Raion uses his smaller height to slip under and run Noah into the ropes. Noah held onto the ropes and sent Kido rolling solo. Kido got back up, side stepped a big boot but took an impactful back elbow right to the cheek. In the corner Noah followed up by lifting Kido onto the second rope and flung him over on his back.
Kido then took a one handed spinebuster and fought on. Despite the kick out, Noah started with a vice grip on Kido’s shoulder. The vice grip had Raion almost grinding his teeth together in agony. He managed a tactical escape, yanking Noah forward and kicking overhead to send Noah back. The giant Minnesota boy checked for blood and saw Raion Kido too late - a high jump hurricanrana sends Noah over the top rope and knocks him over. ASAI MOONSAULT splashes on Noah.
CUT TO: RAION TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
Kido sighed, in a very exhausted manner.
RAION KIDO: That was cool…but Noah was heavy to get back into that ring.
CUT TO: KENDRICK KROSS TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
Kendrick Kross is casually sipping an can which has been taped over to avoid any issues with brands.
KENDRICK KROSS: Why are you asking me about Kido? I’m the contender and soon to be Tenacity Grand Champion.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Kido, back in the ring and on offense, has Noah on the mat and dropkicked the big man in the back of the head. Noah powered out of the pinfall and Kido managed to land a springboard sidekick to the cheek. Noah hit the ropes and angrily, recklessly went for a lariat but hit nothing. Kido went for a forearm after richocheting off the ropes but got caught by Noah. If there was any time for an anime eye close up it would be now. Noah lifted Kido up into the air and swatted him with one loud open handed chop that left the world champion paralyzed by the sting. Noah followed with a knee drop to the head and prepared a powerbomb. Kido punched out of it! Still feeling the chest he fought back with a back elbow! He ran for the ropes but Noah pulled him back, headbutt! Kido falls to his knees! ARGENTINE BACKBREAKER.
CUT TO: VICTORIA TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
VICTORIA SALINAS: I’m always watching, and when I saw Noah bust that move out - I saw these guys and girls are all trying to come for this title. Whatever it takes.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Kido kicked out of the pin but Noah looks like he was going to hit a razor’s edge into the turnbuckle. Kido slipped out the backdoor 2 seconds before his back would have met steel turnbuckle, hit the ropes and SPEAR to the knee! Raion Kido quickly tried a leg lock but Leiffson pushed Kido off. Kido is quicker to his feet and dropkicked Noah again. Noah was kept down with dropkick after dropkick but this tired him out and didn’t stop Noah from trying to get back up. Kido tried to beat Leiffson down with a couple of punches but is slapped into the corner with one nasty slap to the chest. Kido bounced out and superkicked Noah dizzy. URANAGE! Could Kido do it? The crowd get on their feet as Kido appears to go for it but at the apex of the crowd’s cheers Noah elbowed out of it.
Kido ate a big boot, then a second one, it’s then Noah landed some stinging chest chops until Kido fell to his knees and then the mat. The chest was red, borderline crimson at this point in the match. The crowd seethed as they then watched Kido fly up and crash landed chest first - yet the Osaka born wrestler continued to kick out.
CUT TO: JESSICA CARTER TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
JESSICA CARTER: See I don’t like that. That hurts. That hurts and thensome. I don’t have to fight him next, do I?
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) It’s Noah’s big man dropkick that appears to knock Kido out only he kicked out with instinct, a foot on the bottom rope. Noah believed he was near the end and prepared the powerbomb. This time Kido went for the leg he attacked earlier, collapsed Noah and attempted a pinfall. Impressively Noah Leiffson bridged. The pair twist and Noah goes for a powerbomb gutwrench style. This time Kido has to punch his way out, causing Noah to fall back. He stood up and ran straight at the corner, leapfrogging onto the top rope and flew off, twisted in mid air for the elbow drop on Noah’s back. Noah is then measured for Atomic Thunder, but a big boot to the arm fended off Kido.
Noah rattled Kido with an overhead belly to belly before wrapping his hand around Kido’s throat. A kick to the knee freed Kido, dropped Noah down in the same vain and let Kido back up into the ropes for ATOMIC THUNDER! Kido then follows up with a springboard version of his Lightning Thunder which drove Noah to the mat; he hooked the leg and scored the one, two, and the three!
CUT TO: RINGSIDE
AUBREY WILLIAMS: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of this match Raion Kido!
Before Raion Kido can celebrate, Kendrick Kross came running down in his sportswear and struck him with a drive by knee. Kido and Noah endured a couple of stomps from a hot Kendrick Kross with energy to burn. That is until he was greeted by the emergence of the first and only Grand Champion Victoria Salinas.
She came out with the title and went to use it as a weapon on Kendrick but he avoided the impact and snuck out. He saw the champion wasn’t going to slide out and risk an ambush so he let the champion know he’d see her next show. Until Scotty Latimer decided he should go back into the ring. Kendrick got up and verbally gave it to Latimer, turned around and got smacked by the title.
CUT TO: VICTORIA TALKING HEAD - BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW ROOM.
VICTORIA SALINAS: And that’s as close as Kendrick is gonna come to touching my title.
CUT TO: THE VENUE - THE RING.
(Back to the Action) Salinas booted Kendrick from the ring, and helped Kido and Noah up. Noah, modestly admitted Kido got him this time but next time he’ll be watching out for that lightning. Kido meanwhile looked at the title he was one win closer towards while Kendrick is filmed exiting through the crowd rather than the ramp - guarded by Mr. Latimer.
